In spiritual and personal growth circles, you will hear a lot about the importance of speaking up for yourself, and for speaking your truth. However, the stark reality is that speaking your truth often brings about consequences – and not all of them are easy.

Are you ready to deal with what may come?

Change is an inevitable part of life, and speaking up for yourself will likely result in change. Some of us find this challenging – so with that…

Here are 3 steps to getting more comfortable with speaking up for yourself:

1. Does this situation bother you? If so, are you willing to do something to change it? This is the key factor. If you are more content NOT communicating, and this feels good to you, then why change it? Wait until you are ready. But if you are UNCOMFORTABLE or you feel off, this is your intuition telling you that you need to make a stand.

2. Practice! Speak up in little ways in your life. Say how you really feel when people ask how you are. Practice saying no when you feel safe to do so. Be honest re. your preferences, decisions, etc. Do this with people you feel comfortable with, then gradually start to branch out.

3. Before speaking up re. the bigger things, be aware of what the potential fallout could be. The more you are aware of the landscape, the more equipped you will be in dealing with what comes next.

I’m back with an outdoor video today, one I took quickly while hiking in Oregon this summer.

The biggest part of learning to be psychic is meditation – calming down your analytical mind.

For many people, meditation is NOT fun. I used to cringe at the idea of it! But there are so many different types of meditations that with a little exploration, you will find the practice that works for you. I discovered that guided meditations were my favorite, and loved them so much that I began to create my own for other people.

Here in my element, at Sweet Creek Falls in Mapleton, Oregon, I found meditating and being present is like second nature. With the rushing water and lush greenery everywhere, it’s like I’m transported to a completely different reality. Being here is purifying and healing. I just love the energy and can feel the nature spirits all around.

Basically, the walking meditation I do here is just all about being immersed in the environment around me. It’s mindfulness at it’s best!

That’s why after this video (which I only made because it was the second time in 2 days that I visited this beautiful place!), I’ll just turn off the phone and be present.

One of the things most people are most fascinated about when it comes to psychic work is predicting the future.

As you probably already know by now, the future is not always set in stone. But then again, sometimes it is! It makes the whole prediction thing confusing and complicated.

Some future events are actually written as if carved in stone. Fate/destiny are real forces! There is something greater running the show, and we are not 100% in control all the time.

To make matters more confusing, there is this entire aspect of life in which we really do create our own realities. The way we think, and the actions we take, propel our lives forward. We do have power as far as that is concerned.

So, because of this, sometimes predictions aligned with fate will be spot on. Other times, predictions regarding something you have sway over may not actually come to pass. I don’t know if I made this exact statement in the video above, but it’s important.

Regardless of figuring out whether a future outcome is the work of fate or of personal manifesting skills, predicting the future or even thinking about the future too much can be problematic. We are meant to be living in the present moment. All we can really affect is how we are living, NOW.

It’s human nature to be curious. And it’s fun to see what psychic probing can reveal about the future. I think the ideal approach is to get the information, but try not to harp on it. To just have that in the back of your mind, perhaps, and keep living the best way you can.

We’ve all been in situations where we have to cope with difficult people. The worst is when some people are so challenging that they get us all out of whack. In situations like this, rather than condemn them, if we seek to understand why they behave the way they do, it can help us grow on so many different levels.

It’s pretty easy to dislike a person, put up a wall, react with anger, and maybe run away so we never have to encounter that person again. Sometimes, though, these people just keep coming. It could be the same person, a few people, or that same type of personality/interaction that keeps showing up in life.

If someone is triggering us, or they are just a real jerk, it really does help to take a few steps back and look at why they could be behaving the way they are. That’s where being psychic blends so beautifully with personal and spiritual growth. It can help us understand things we might never have known – perhaps some difficult people have personality disorders, or they had traumatic childhoods. When we see things from the vantage point of understanding, we are more easily able to release that charge that infuriates us about the other person.

We don’t have to accept rotten behavior, but when we seek to understand, it tends to soften things and that knowledge and understanding creates an unshakeable foundation. We may not have such an angry reaction, because we understand them and see them.

What’s important is that we do not have to force ourselves to be around people who behave terribly. In fact, I’d say do the work to heal and understand, and if it’s still bad, by all means leave if you can. There’s no need to suffer endlessly because of another person’s behavior and actions!

Ultimately, understanding where others are coming from just creates more peace. It’s a nice way to be in general, don’t you think? I’ve also found that  this approach can help us cycle out of negative patterns where difficult types of people keep coming in, and leads us to more joyful relationships. What a relief, right?!?

This week I’m bringing up a topic that is not very fun – boo! But it’s important!

Psychic development does not have to go hand in hand with spirituality, but the two blend together quite well. When we’re working on increasing our intuition and asking for spiritual guidance, we learn to live a life in alignment with our higher path.

Often, getting onto that higher path requires us to change our ways of thinking and be-ing.

I believe a big problem with our civilization is that many of us tend to refuse to see where we are wrong, to change our ways of thinking, reacting, and behaving. When we are not flexible and willing to adapt and change, that’s where things get stuck.

I recently had a big a-ha moment where I realized I had fallen deep into a pattern of flawed thinking regarding a situation in my life. I realized that I was operating from the space of my wounded inner child. This pattern of thinking was not comfortable, and when I realized what I was doing, I immediately vowed to change my perception. To adapt a new way of thinking about the situation, a more fresh and less “limited” approach.

This was a HUGE a-ha moment. The kind where I realized I was wrong – my thinking was wrong. It was pretty epic. And exciting.

When we really commit to the path, and doing “the work,” we will get tests and trials, because we are holding a different space. Ideally, we want to grow. We want to evolve. And a part of that process – in fact the entire process – requires a deep sense of humility and a willingness to change when change is needed.

A viewer recently asked me if there is such a thing as getting too many readings. She was concerned about a potential relationship and asked if she could screw up the outcome by asking about it too frequently.

The answer is YES! You really can get too many readings. Especially if you are super into a person and are asking about a potential romantic outcome.

We are all made of energy, and when you open the space with a reader to tune into someone, they FEEL it. Whether they are consciously aware of it or not, at some level, they sense this. And if they are unsure about you or feel that they are being pulled towards you against their conscious will, they absolutely will retreat. If you pull back, however, they are more likely to come forward of their own volition.

The same goes for any type of reading. You can really muddy the waters and make things more confusing if you get too many readings regarding the same topic. It’s best to ask, wait for some time, maybe do the work you need to do, and then check in down the line.

There isn’t a specific rule of thumb here regarding how often is too often. You could check in on something once a month perhaps, or once every 6 months. If you keep asking and don’t like the answers or just feel confused, that’s a sure sign it’s time to give the readings a rest.

You know how we talk about the concept of “The One” in terms of soulmate, romantic love? It’s very common – almost universal!

The thing is, to think of a romantic partner in terms of “The One” is limiting and can create enormous fear. Like if you’re not at the right place at the right time, you will miss meeting “The One” and that will be the end of that. Or if you broke up with, or never got together with, someone you thought was your only person…all hope is gone. The idea is devastating!

What tends to happen on the heels of “The One” is that you get fixated on one human, to the point where if it doesn’t work out, you suffer enormous pain. You might even fear “The One” got away, and you will never have the love you so desperately want and need.

There are over 7 billion people on the planet right now. How could it be that there is only ONE ideal match for each of us? It’s more likely that there would be several really solid potential matches for each person here on the earth.

So what’s the solution? When approaching this subject, a practice of surrender might be the best path forward. To trust that there is a divine plan, and if not this particular person, another wonderful and just as perfect soulmate will be delivered.

This week I’ve got a really easy energetic technique to help manage anxiety, which is rampant in our society these days.

It’s ridiculously simple – but it works! I’ve felt how powerful it is firsthand (details on how this discovery came about is in the video above).

All you have to do is breathe in a deep, rich, blue light. Just imagine you’re breathing that light in, and have it flow out into your aura. This will immediately ground out and calm down anxiety and anxious vibrations. You can do it. You can also have loved ones who share your space (and vibes) do it.

It’s easy and simple and can be done in about 10-30 seconds, and immediately you will feel a shift. It’s awesome!

I’ve been practicing the Bengston Energy Healing method (Image Cycling) for about 5 years now, and it is exactly like having that magical lantern. You make a list of at least 20 things you want, spin it, and it generates the energy. Then you actually get the things on your image cycling list. To keep the energy fresh, you need to keep adding things/experiences to that list once other ones manifest.

And knowing what it is you REALLY want takes time!

In this week’s video, I discuss making the list and what you can put on it. One of the things I forgot to add that is very important is health! If you want to improve your eyesight, heal from an ailment or condition, whatever it may be – add it to the list!!!

What makes this energy healing technique so great in my mind is that the practice – image cycling – is one of the most potent and powerful form of intentional creation I’ve ever experienced. It’s also pretty fun.

Here’s how it works in a nutshell:

Make a list of at least 20 things you want to have or experience in your life. Deep dive into what it would be like to have each list item in your life. Imagine it as if it’s already happened, and feel the energy of it, the emotions. Some people do this alone as a manifesting technique.

2.
The list is never stagnant. It’s continuously updated and maintained. When you get something, take it off the list. When you want something else, add it to the list. It’s imperative that the list is up to date and current with your current desires.

3.
Now we generate momentum: the cyling itself. Take these 20 things and encapsulate them with a picture for each item, and then put them onto something that spins, like a clock or rolodex. The cycling of these items generates the energy that heals the physical body. It’s also as if that spinning creates the energy that magnetizes what you want into your life.

These three elements make Bengston flow.
