The Rice Experiment
To do the experiment, the nurses would take 3 jars and fill them with cooked rice. They would then talk to the jars of rice every day for two weeks.
The first jar would be told wonderful and loving things daily. They’d say things like “I love you! You are wonderful. You are beautiful rice.”
The second jar would be told terrible and mean things daily. They’d say “You’re terrible rice. You are really bad! I don’t like you.”
And the third jar they didn’t do anything with. They just ignored it.
At the end of the two weeks, the first jar of rice looked as good as it did on day one. The second jar of rice was moldy and rotting. And the third jar looked very similar to the second jar.
If you’re curious, try the experiment and see what happens! Thought and intentions, which create energy, are so powerful. It definitely can shift and change how water molecules are formed. And, of course, it has a very powerful effect on human beings, animals, and plants. Beings who are the recipients of loving energy thrive!

This week I’m covering a sneaky little thing that happens when you’re in psychic mode. I’ll call it psychic laziness! I’ve been guilty of it myself, and I’ve seen it happen with students many times over the years. When psychic laziness sets in, you stop yourself from getting as much psychic information as you could because of one of two things. You are either afraid you’ll be too amazing, or you’re afraid you will not get anything at all or be terribly wrong.
The Tennis Bracelet
Recently, a friend lost a beautiful and valuable diamond tennis bracelet at her daughter’s birthday party. I did a quick remote viewing session to check in and see if I could find it. I just jumped in, got an image of the bracelet in sunlight and something green like grass maybe, and jumped out of the session. I stopped myself from looking further and getting more clues because my thoughts got in the way. I thought maybe it had fallen off by a curb at the party location, or in the grass at her house and one of her dogs got it. She’d already checked the gift bags, which was the first thing I asked before doing the RV session.
The good new is, she did find it a couple of weeks later! It had fallen into a vase of flowers that had been on the cake table. I was so happy for her! And I also kicked myself, because I should have spent more time looking for it remotely instead of assuming it was lost for good.
Psychic Students
The fear of being too good or too bad at psychic work is a challenging thing to overcome. And it’s perfectly normal to not want to try as hard as you can. If you are super amazing, the things you will get will absolutely ASTOUND you. If you are awful, well, then, it’s more of an issue of you blocking yourself. In the beginning, many of my psychic students need to be pushed to see things clearly. This pushing is not about pressure to be quick. It’s about complete patience and thoroughness. Psychic information can take time to unfold. Many students sit quietly for several minutes before images start appearing or messages are heard. That’s natural!
To be in the flow, you have to continually push yourself, and to refresh your psychic feed to get new images. It’s important to continually turn down your analytical mind. Another thing that is helpful is to look at parts of yourself to see where you are holding yourself back. Psychic work is the perfect pathway for personal growth in that regard.
Hairy Legs and a Pan Flute?!?
Over a decade ago, when I was learning to be psychic, I did a reading for my best friend from high school. She’d had bad experiences with dating and just wanted to know if I could get any information about her ultimate long-term guy. What we both remember from that session is that I said he would have hairy legs and play the pan flute. We laughed and laughed. Was he PAN? Or a faun romping through the forest? But what’s even funnier is she just met THE GUY. And…drumroll please…he has hairy legs and a pan flute. How random and funny is that!
That’s how this all works! It’s great to be diligent with psychic work and not slip into psychic laziness, because, as with most things in life, practice makes perfect. Even if it takes a decade to find out whether you were accurate or not!

Have you heard of the saying, “Intuition isn’t supernatural, it’s super natural?” It’s true! Intuition is SO natural. There is nothing wacky about it! In fact, honoring your intuition is essential if you want to lead a peaceful life.
Intuitive Dating
Your body is a finely-tuned mechanism that actually has intuition built-in. It’s your internal warning system! That’s why it’s essential to trust how you feel when you first meet another person, especially if it’s romantic in nature.
Honoring your intuition is critical to your wellbeing. Even more so when you’re dating! When someone is presenting their best self to you, it’s important to listen to what your intuition has to say. Listen to it above all else, especially when the other person is trying to convince you that they’re absolutely wonderful through and through.
She KNEW something was off.
Recently, a very intuitive client asked me to double check a guy she’d gone out with. The first image I got was him wearing a mask, like a frowny-face mask, when other people were frowning. He was really feeling fine, but put on a mask to match what other people were feeling. She immediately gasped and said that her first impression was that he was a sociopath — and she was right. You see, people usually don’t divulge things like this about themselves. You have to trust your gut.
Outside appearances will often try to convince you everything is fine. And yes, maybe you can overlook that elephant in the room or that tight feeling in your solar plexus. The problem is, what you are feeling will eventually surface, whether it’s 6 months or 5 years later. And you’ll have wished you had listened to yourself in the first place.
She Married Him!
A client I love recently confessed to me that she married the guy I’d warned her not to marry in a reading years ago. She loves him dearly, but has a sneaking suspicion she could have done a little better in terms of being with someone more in tune with her beautiful free spirit.
Perhaps this is one of the life lessons that she is now working through. Life lessons will present themselves in many different ways. Let’s say she hadn’t married the guy. In that case, she may have had a work situation that restricted her freedom, or something else. In this case, though, it’s come in the form of this relationship.
Life lessons and karma are unavoidable. But I don’t want you to go through being in a not-so-great relationship if you can avoid it.
Pay attention to how your body feels and trust yourself, even if you don’t have information to back it up yet. There are so many ways we can learn life lessons, and listening to your intuition will help make the process easier. Especially when it comes to romantic relationships, which are the perfect stomping ground for spiritual growth.

PSYCHIC BURNOUT!
Yes, it happens. Doing too many readings all the time, without substantial breaks, can be very dangerous. Psychic work is not for the faint of heart. It can really harm you psychologically, energetically, and physically. Case in point: one of my friends who is very psychic and loves energy work, etc. was excited about this new energy that she was working with in her healing sessions. She felt it so strongly and her hands would get super hot and tingly. Fun fact: your hands get hot when you do energy work! It’s pretty cool. 🙂
But what isn’t cool is what happened next. She started to get sick. She went to the doctors, who of course couldn’t find anything wrong. Because she had had a very serious illness and tons of surgery before, she was worried that the illness had come back. However, test results didn’t show anything, although her entire body was in terrible pain. She finally learned that the energy she was running through her was so strong it burned her central nervous system. She stopped doing energy work altogether, it was that bad. She’s finally starting to recover.
Energetic Debris
I’ve talked about this before, but another thing that can happen when you do a lot of readings is that you can get energy attachments from others. It’s not like anyone means for that to happen, but at times, heeby-jeebys and other things can latch on to you if your system is weak in any way. It’s sort of like lice spreading. A lot of care and maintenance has to be done at all times, in fact, in order to stay strong and clear.
Some People ARE Cut out for this Work!
There are some people that this doesn’t happen to. I’ve met a few! They are very rooted, earthy, grounded, and centered. They also create VERY STRONG boundaries, which I have learned to have over the years.
For example, I don’t see clients face to face anymore because I inadvertently feel the pain they’re feeling due to the fact that I’m extremely empathic. That’s my achilles heel. Grounded, powerhouse healers almost have it built into their system where this doesn’t happen.
The Medical Medium
Because I learned how to be psychic, I can turn it on and off at will, and I advise clients and students to do same. Anthony William, the Medical Medium, was psychic for as long as he can remember. He is able to see through the bodies people like an x-ray and diagnose what is going on with them with the help of his guides. However, it’s so intense for him that he has to wear dark sunglasses and have an escort with him on airplanes! Why? Because the energy is so overpowering that’s he’s almost blinded and can’t function. 🙁
While being psychic can be fun, you don’t want to have it to the point where it compromises your ability to be “normal” in everyday life.
If you are interested in developing your own natural psychic and intuitive abilities, I certainly don’t mean to deter you! However, it’s a skill set that comes with a lot of requirements if you want to stay clean and light. And if you’re interested in doing sessions professionally, it is vital to have as much knowledge as possible before you go in. You will be glad you did!!!
This week’s video is about psychic development. It was prompted by a question that came from Chris:
I was wondering if you could speak a bit about the difference between the left and right sides of the body and any spiritual or energetic implications. It seems to me that energy comes in from the left side, and leaves from the right side, but that’s just my speculating. I sometimes feel/hear things in my left or right ear that feels supernatural. Do you have any insight on this? I love that question! It’s such a good one, and I absolutely do have insight on this. I feel energy differently from the left and right sides of my body. For a while, I felt like I was too centered over to the right side of my body, and the left side felt weaker. I am working to heal that imbalance.
Spirit Guides = Right Side
My guides and higher level beings I talk to in my channeling work, my main guide, saints, angels, high-level beings, deities, and others from the higher realms come through and talk to me on the right side of my head/ear. I will often feel a tickle on my ear when I’m channeling, too. All of the info from that team comes through the right side.
Spirits = Left Side
What I don’t love is what comes through the left side: pushy spirits! I don’t like mediumship for that reason. They come through whenever they want, whether you are prepared to do mediumship work or not! These beings have a more dense vibration and they’re on the astral plane. When I am in a session with someone, my earpiece is in my left ear, and so I then view that person’s energy on the left side of my screen, too. My guides and I sit over on the right. That’s just how I set it all up based on my guides coming through the right.
Energy Flowing through the Body
As far as energy coming in through the left side and leaving through the right, as Chris observed, I don’t feel that as much. It could be because when I was taught to do readings, I was trained to have a grounding cord plugged in to my root chakra going down into the earth. I then release energy that way. Or, I erase it, blow it up, or fill it with light. That’s how it leaves my body/reading screen in a session.
This video is about Archangel Uriel, guardian of the North and representative of the earth element.
As I’ve mentioned in other videos, angels are very powerful and real. If you need help, call on the angels and they will come. Now, I haven’t done a lot of one-on-one work with Archangel Uriel, but I do feel a sense of strong security when I call him in during the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. The LBRP, as it’s often referred to, is a technique you can do to protect the energy of a space. Uriel has a very serious demeanor to me. His presence is extremely grounding!
In previous emails pertaining to the four major archangels, I’ve quoted Migene Gonzalez-Wippler, and I’m continuing that this week. I highly recommend getting her books! “One of the seven princes of the Divine Presence and one of the angels of sanctification and repentance. He is a Seraph and a Cherub, one of the regents of the sun, and the Archangel of salvation. His planetary colors are violet and aqua, all iridescent shades, and plaid. His ascribed day is Saturday at 11pm. The illnesses he rules are leukemia and broken ankles. His flowers and plants are orchids, the fleur de lys, and all centenary or giant trees like the sequoia. To bring the angels into your life, all you need to do is ask. If you’d like to do more magical work, Migene Gonzalez-Wippler outlines that in this book. A very simplistic way to call in Archangel Uriel would be to light a violet or aqua candle on your altar. Next to or surrounding it, place orchids or sequoia leaves. Light some frankincense, hold an amethyst, and call his name. Ask for the help you need, and then pay attention to the signs that will be delivered. Angels love to give you very blatant signs! You’ll be amazed at how quickly they come through.

This week, I’m continuing the angel discussion with Archangel Gabriel. He rules the element of water and the west. As a Pisces, I naturally gravitate towards him. I love Archangel Gabriel!
A few years ago I dealt with an entity attachment that came from someone I had been working with. It was horrible. However, I got a lot of help from wonderful human friends, and angels. Archangel Gabriel was one of the angels who came through quite powerfully. One day, after a deep prayer session, I left my house and immediately saw someone with long bright blue hair and an orange dress — Gabriel’s colors! On that same trip, on the classical station came a piece about Gabriel’s trumpets in heaven. That’s the thing about angels. When you call them, they come. When you ask for signs, you’ll see signs like the gangbusters!
As I did in most recent angel videos, I’d love to share with you a passage about Archangel Gabriel from one of my favorite books. The title below links straight to the Amazon page for the book if you would like to get it.
“Gabriel rules the First Heaven, Shamaym; the Ninth Sphere, which is Yesod; and the moon. Gabriel’s name means “God is my strength.” His kabbalistic number is nine. So, a simple way to call Archangel Gabriel to you would be to place a violet or silver handle on your altar. You might light some myrrh incense, and place a moonstone and some jasmine flowers next to it. Then pray to Archangel Gabriel, and be ready to be answered!

This week I’m continuing the Archangel discussion with Archangel Raphael.
Archangel Raphael
Archangel Raphael rules the East and the element of air. When you do the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (a powerful form of psychic protection), you start your sacred circle in the east by first summoning Archangel Raphael. Moving clockwise, next is Michael in the south, Gabriel in the west, and Uriel in the north.
I told this story in a video a few years ago, but it’s so spine-tinglingly good I want to recap it for you. I was traveling home to LA from Denver and the plane hit a TON of really strong turbulence. I starting calling Archangel Raphael, because he rules the air. I chanted his name very loudly inside my head and asked him to help. And a miracle happened right away – I realized we were not going to die right then and there! 😂
When the turbulence subsided, I reached into the seat pocket in front of me to read the in-flight magazine and pulled out a piece of paper. It turned out to be the boarding pass of the person from the previous flight. I gasped when I saw that her name was ANGEL, and she had flown from La Guardia, which means “to guard” in Italian. Talk about angel signs and synchronicity. I was floored!
That’s how powerful angels are, and how amazing it is when you call on them. They are undeniably real and their power is incredibly strong. If you ask for them to help you sincerely, they will come through.
How to Call on Angels
There are different ways you can bring angels into your life. You can call on them, as I did on the plane. You can also invoke them in a more magical ritual. Because I haven’t done a lot of magical ritual work to intentionally summon angels, I’m not going to teach it, obviously. But I have a great book I love called The Kabbalah & Magic of Angels by Migene Gonzalez-Whippler. Click on the link and it will take you right to the Amazon page where you can buy it. Migene discusses angels at great length in the book, and what I decided to do in this archangel series is to read to you the angelic associations she covers.
“Rules the Second Heaven, Raquie; the Eighth sphere of the Tree of Life, Hod; and Mercury. Raphael’s name means “God has healed.” His kabbalistic number is eight. His planetary color is orange. As ruler of the air element, Raphael’s colors are yellow and violet, but these colors are not used when he is invoked. Raphael is known as the angel who stands in the sun. His ascribed day is Wednesday at 1am, 8am, 3pm, and 10pm. He rules the zodiac signs of Gemini and Virgo. Raphael rules the intellect, studies, teachers, papers, contracts, books, communications, correspondence, medicine, doctors, and nurses.
The caduceus is one of his symbols, as he is known as the divine physician. The illnesses he rules are epilepsy, meningitis, all nervous or mental ailments, and illnesses affecting the respiratory system, the nervous system, the arms, the mouth, the tongue, the pancreas, the gall bladder, the intestines, and the thyroid.
His flowers and plants are the magnolia, lily of the valley, forget me not, lavender, parsley, elm tree, marjoram, mandrake, and all ferns. Among his fruits are oranges and almonds. His incenses are sandalwood, storax, gum arabic, and clove. His stones are carnelians, all the agates (especially lace agates), fire opals, celestites, aquamarines, and amazonites. The animals he rules are foxes, jackals, mules, giraffes, monkeys, parrots, and all flying insects, especially butterflies. His metals are quicksilver, silver, and aluminum.”
I love all those associations! If you read the book, she talks about ways you can use them to call on the angels. A simple thing you can do is light sandalwood incense, place an orange candle next to a lavender flower and a fire opal on an altar, and say a prayer to Archangel Raphael to help you. On a Wednesday!
All you need to do is start calling the angels, and they will come.

I hope you are doing OK! We are just trucking along over here. One silver lining about all of this is that the air is so fresh and clear. There’s no traffic, which is very calming. Everything is, at least for now, a lot less hectic in many ways.
Because of everything we are collectively going through, I thought now would be an ideal time to talk about angels. For the next 3 Thursdays I’ll be covering the four major archangels. Today is Michael, and then we have Raphael, Gabriel, and Uriel.
Archangel Michael
Archangel Michael is one of the most powerful Archangels. When I’ve seen him come though in readings, it’s astounding. The work he is able to do and the ease with which he does it is truly miraculous. I had a reading with someone a couple of years ago where Michael came through. The reading ended, and right after that, a repairman came to my house with a huge Archangel Michael tattoo on his forearm. His name was Michael, too. I was amazed by this immediate and powerful sign!
Michael is a warrior angel, and he’s very close to God. I want to share with you a passage about Archangel Michael’s associations from one of my favorite books about angels. In this book, the author shares very complex information about how to summon angels and do angel magic. If you’re interested in learning more, the title and pages are below:
The Kabbalah & Magic of Angels by Migene Gonzalez-Wippler, P. 182
“Rules the Fourth Heaven, Machen; the Sixth Sphere of the Tree of life, Tiphareth; and the sun. Michael’s name means “he who is like God.” Because Michael and Raphael are both solar angels, they sometimes exchange the rulership of the sun and Tiphareth. In the Tree of Life Raphael is ascribed the sixth sphere of Tiphareth, but among the Archangels of the planets and the seven days of the week, Michael and Raphael switch places.
In that system Michael rules Sunday and the sun because he also rules Leo, which is ruled by the sun, while Raphael rules Wednesday and Mercury because he also rules Gemini and Virgo, which are ruled by Mercury. As ruler of the fire element, Michael’s colors are red and green, but these elemental colors are not used when he is invoked. Michael rules the zodiac sign of Leo.
He rules health, vitality, men, the father, executive positions, governmental issues, fame, publicity, everything that begins, and great wealth. The illnesses he rules are fevers and those associated with the heart, the back, the sides of the body, the eyes, the liver, and blood circulation. Among his flowers and plants are sunflowers, all yellow blooms, chamomile, ginger, mistletoe, heliotrope, laurel, pineapple, vanilla, saffron, and cinnamon. His incenses are copal and frankincense. His stones are sardonyx, sunstone, peridot, citrine, diamond, pyrite, ruby, tiger’s eye, and amber. The animals he rules are all the wild cats — especially the lion, the tiger, the panther, and the leopard — as well as falcons, all domestic cats, the bird of paradise, and mythical animals like the unicorn, the sphinx, the chimera, and the phoenix. His metal is gold.”
In my experience, Michael is also known for removing cords of attachment. I get so excited about these associations! When you know what an angel is associated with, you’ll be able to notice signs when they come through. You can also, for example, bring Archangel Michael into your life by placing a gold candle on your altar. Light frankincense, place a sunflower and a citrine next to it, and say a prayer to Archangel Michael for assistance.

House Clearing Time!
On Tuesday, I emailed out this guided meditation to assist you with clearing your home. Since we are all home right now, making the space fresh and clear and nice to be in is essential to our overall wellbeing. Today, I’m sharing a very easy hands-on (i.e. not meditative) method to purify your home space.
Easy House Clearing Technique
When it comes to clearing your space, it helps to do things in a particular order. First things first, you want to clean your house. Purge the stuff you don’t use or need, and then do a thorough cleansing of your house. Open all the windows, do all your dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and rearrange things if you would like. And then comes the witchy part: light up some sage, copal, frankincense, palo santo, or your favorite cleansing incense or herb.
Go into each room with this. Go down into the corners and along the floorboards. And then go up and around, where the ceiling and walls meet. Say out loud or in your mind, “I’m cleansing and clearing this space, and filling it with love and light.” As you do this, imagine you are imparting light into the space. Go into every room of the house, and let your intuition guide you! Spend extra time in the places you feel need more attention. If you feel like if a room has heavy energy, keep the windows open and usher that energy out of the windows, like you’re sweeping it out of your house.
After this, you can ring bells in every room in the house. Keep all the windows open, and place fresh flowers around the home.
It’s as simple as that! Done, and done.
Coconut Clearing
I’d love to share with you a story my friend Joy told me about a house clearing she did. She used a coconut, which is known for it’s powerful clearing qualities in indigenous cultures. She kicked it all around the floorboards of the entire home, letting it absorb all the negative energy in her house. She did the whole thing very thoroughly, and didn’t pay much attention to the fact that her little dog was following her around the entire time. When she finished, she went outside to get rid of the coconut (a must-do, as it absorbed all the negative energy). Her dog followed her, and promptly threw up! He absorbed some of that energy too, and his little body purged it out right away.
So, that said, if you do any kind of house clearing, know that you are likely kicking and stirring up energy that can be absorbed by pets and family members who are around. Just as you have to be out of the home when you’re fumigating, similar precautions should be taken with loved ones when you’re doing a full-on house clearing.
