You might be surprised to hear me say this, considering I do intuitive sessions for people for a living, but there IS such a thing as getting too many readings! Now, this is different from consistently working with someone to get through a difficult period in one’s life, or to heal something you are working on. What I’m talking about is that there are people who spend thousands of dollars on psychic hotlines and go to intuitives way more often than necessary, asking surface questions about people and situations, but not going deeper. When you are working on something with an intuitive/energy practitioner, like when you’re working on an issue as you would with a therapist, that’s different, and is fine, and healthy.

But if one is just going to psychics and asking the same question over and over or the same question in a different way, not working through the core issue but repeatedly asking nonconstructive questions, the situation can become really unhelpful and perhaps even more confusing than it needs to be. Essentially, it’s not good to go to someone or to a bunch of people for readings too often unless your focus is more along the lines of “how can I shift, heal, transform, and move the energy to live my highest truth and to evolve and grow.”

Repeatedly going to psychics/intuitives for surface readings can become addictive, sort of like gambling. In addition to that, you might start receiving confusing information or muddled up intel that doesn’t help you at all.

The easiest way I can explain this is through the iChing, which is an oracular book that I use for myself when I have questions and don’t want to sit down and be clairvoyant. The iChing is called the book of changes, and it helps you navigate your way through the constant changes in life. When you sit down to consult the iChing, you are asking the spirits and guides of the oracle to help you through a situation, to provide guidance and insight.

And here’s the funny thing! The iChing is so helpful and soothing when you desperately need help, but when you are asking repetitive questions of a non-helpful nature, it literally sasses you and is like no no no, that’s not the way! Listen, why don’t you ask it in a better way? There are passages in the iChing that literally tell you “Ask once, okay. Ask twice, fine. Ask a third time? Trap! The way closes!” or that tell you that you are muddying the waters by asking too much. And I’ve worked with the iChing so often now that these answers are really tuned in to where I am with what I’m asking – it’s seriously profound and incredible how it works.

If you ask a question that helps to you heal and transform, the iChing will encourage you to keep following that line of questioning, by saying that the spirits will help you through it and it’s important that you understand the situation.

So, to recap what I’m trying to illustrate here, the iChing oracle (which is older than the bible, by the way!) will:

a) Scold you for asking petty questions
b) Encourage you to ask deeper, more transformative and probing questions

So if, for example, someone keeps calling psychics to ask what a guy is thinking about them, and the guy is really not the best person for them in any way, nor is he interested in a relationship, a more healing and productive way to approach the situation would be to look at how to break the cycle of being attracted to the wrong men, how to repair the self-esteem, and how to then attract in an ideal partner. Does that make sense?

When you are in a reading, and/or you find that you are getting too many readings asking the same types of surface questions, you also want to be careful not to give your power away. We ALL have the power to be intuitive and psychic! And it’s so empowering to be able to be your own oracle. Of course, we also all need guidance and/or confirmation from a trusted advisor now and again, especially when we are really close to a situation and it’s hard to see the forest for the trees. In cases like that, it can be wonderfully healing to work with an intuitive and energy healer you know you can trust. And it’s fine to go often if you need to! Just don’t get readings every single day. Let the answers sink in so that you can continue to heal and move forward on your path.

I hope that helps and makes sense! Thanks for reading and watching. And remember, if there’s anything in your life that you would like assistance with, I’m here to help with readings, energy healings, on-demand meditations and my psychic development training program. So just reach out!

Signs and synchronicities are one of the easiest ways to connect to the universal force field of energy all around us. For example, when you ask for signs from your guides, you will absolutely see them: you just have to train yourself to be open and notice. I’ve seen the most incredible signs from angels and guides that just blew me away and reassured me that yes, these beings really do exist and are here to help. It’s amazing.

Signs can be confusing, though, too, especially when they’re about a potential love interest.

When you have a crush on someone, or are interested in them, you may go through a period where you see a LOT of signs and synchronicities related to that person. Maybe you see their name everywhere, or keep seeing things related to them – like references regarding where they’re from or what they’re into.

This is all fun and cool and of course very exciting, but the thing to be careful about and aware of is it doesn’t necessarily mean they are THE ONE or that you’re going to have an epic connection. Not to be a wet blanket, but sometimes when you are hyper alert and focused and excited about something, you manifest it into your life. And so when you feel like that about another person, whether you are dating them or they don’t even know you exist, you might manifest signs and symbolism and synchronicities about them into your life – but not necessarily the actual person him-or her-self.

I know it’s complicated, but cautious optimism is the best way to go in a situation like this, even if you’re getting signs left and right!

It’s like when you’re shopping for a new car: you start to see that car everywhere. It’s on your radar. You bring it into your reality, and you notice it, too, because your awareness is heightened. A similar thing can happen when you are into someone. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that that person is your twin flame/soul mate/epic love. It could just mean that you are so excited and focused that you are noticing signs related to them and/or are manifesting these signs into your reality.

And therein lies the problem! While it’s fun and exciting to get swept away, your best avenue in cases like this is to notice these signs with amusement and not get caught up in a fantasy. Control your emotions as much as you can and be neutral. I’m not saying you can’t get excited, but here’s the thing: people tend to come to me as an intuitive when things are headed south, so I am coming from the experience of helping people who say “it felt so epic and real” but then got let down in the most anguishing ways.

So that’s where I feel that even if you are getting all these signs about someone, being neutral will help you to preserve your self-esteem and to remember to keep yourself level-headed. If you get carried away, thinking “this is it, this is meant to be” because you are getting all this sensory input in your reality, you can lose a lot of time and expend a lot of unnecessary energy, all swept up with this person when they may not be ready to be in a relationship, or may not in fact be the best person for you at all.

The next time you find yourself in a situation like this, just look at the signs with detached amusement. Maybe laugh, write them down if you want to just see what happens (again from a place of neutrality), and/or set an intention to re-direct the energy to getting signs about your own personal growth and development, diverting your attention back to yourself and your highest path.

I hope that makes sense. Every person is unique and every situation is different, and while having an open heart and an sense of excitement and optimism is key, it’s also very healthy to be aware and grounded whenever you’re engaging in a new romantic situation.

This week I’m just every-so-lightly touching on the subject of dark energy because a request came through for me to address the topic. I don’t like to talk about dark energy. It’s sort of like Voldemort in Harry Potter – it’s so evil I don’t ever want to talk about it or think about it! It does exist, you see. And when you dabble in the psychic or healing arts, even when you have no intention of encountering something like that, chances are, you will. 🙁

So my advice is, before doing any kind of readings or energy healings, call on all angels, light beings, guides of light, masters of light, and bring in as much light as possible. Billions of kilowatts of bright, bright light!!!

There is such a thing as black magic and evil and scary stuff. For example, I visited New Orleans for the first time as a young adult, and I loved the vibe there; it was cool and witchy, fun and interesting. I wandered into a shop that sold voodoo dolls and voodoo doll kits that had actual instructions that essentially said “Listen, if this doesn’t work, call us and we will help you out.” YIKES! Talk about dark energy, right?

Heed my words: any time you see sense or feel anything about negative energy, run for the hills and get away as fast as you can, because it will attempt to take you down if it can!

Just be careful with what you are dabbling with and working in. There is a reason, for example, that people say you shouldn’t monkey with ouija boards, because who knows what kind of hellish thing you will bring in. Mediumship is not my cup of tea for that reason. Not only did I get spooked by Poltergeist, the Exorcist, and The Omen 1, 2, and 3 as a young whippersnapper, but as an adult working in the psychic arts, I know there is a dark side, just like in Star Wars.

Before you do any sort of ceremony or ritual, call in protection! And don’t do anything dark or negative, like attempting to control someone else’s free will or wishing ill on someone. Trash can stuff like that is very bad and invites more darkness in.

Pray with intention to sync up with the highest forces of light and protection. Cast a circle of light around you, and call in the angels to surround and protect the space you’re working in. Any time you do readings and energy healings on people, you are exposed to the energies around and within them. Be cautious and careful, work with the light, have high intentions and you will be ok.

if you feel like you have encountered darkness, look for people who can help you get rid of it. There are a lot of powerful light workers who can release darkness. They are like the ambulance/emergency care workers of the spiritual realm. Research them to find the right fit for yourself. A good person will not charge $100k to remove a curse. There’s no need for that. The very best people are down to earth and have integrity. There are so many legitimate, good people out there, so just set the intention to find the right one, and you will.

Dark energy: it’s real – avoid it – that’s that! May The Force be with you!

If you’re interested in strengthening your psychic skills, I guarantee you that at some point or another, you will begin channeling; either channeling your guides, your higher self, or another form of enlightened guiding force. Channeling is really eye-opening, but also a little bit tricky. Here’s how it all started for me!

As you know, I learned how to be clairvoyant, then practiced and trained in reading cards, the I Ching oracle, and other forms of divination. A couple of years ago I started channeling, which is really different from any of these methodologies.

With channeling, where you’re mostly relying on clairaudience, someone else is speaking to you. You have to figure out who they are, what their intentions are, and how you can work together – all while turning your analytical mind and brain chatter down so that your own thoughts don’t interfere with the process.

Channeling can be REALLY really tricky. To be honest, any form of gathering psychic intel can be tricky because there are so many different subtle nuances to how you see/feel the information and interpret the data you’re getting.

Channeling, however, is very hard for some (i.e. ME) and it takes getting used to – turning your mental faculties down and letting another force speak through you. I wasn’t born hearing voices, like the famous Sylvia Browne who had Francine, or the Medical Medium, who had his guide who has been talking to him since he was a little kid. For me, hearing voices and thoughts that come through my brain, but are not my own, has taken a LOT of getting used to.

In the years that I’ve been working on my psychic abilities (which is like training/working out; if you want to stay strong, you have to work out every day, and if you want to be more psychic and intuitive you have to practice every day), I have only heard my clairaudience as a loud external voice on 3 occasions:

1. During a time when I needed the warning and advice I was given – long story!
2. Before I got pregnant with Ivan (I heard a voice say “You’re going to have a son, and he’s going to be a healer”
3. When I was contemplating adopting our kitty Coco from the shelter; a voice told me “She’s not going to live very long.”

I experienced these voices as very clear and concise. Not long-winded or wordy, but short and to-the-point.

Now when I am doing channeling work, I sit and have a stream of information come through. It sort of activated itself a few years ago. I don’t speak it out, I type it out. The people (if you will) who are speaking through me are a group of beings called the ascended masters, which also consists of saints, deities, goddesses, gods, star people, and a whole sort of entourage of different beings.

What I have noticed is that there are times when I’m channeling for myself, and then I get information that I have come to identify as non-accurate intel. It’s not that the guides are giving me wrong intel, it’s like I am stepping in and my voice and ego start talking instead of the guides. That is where channeling is so tricky! You have to surrender and close that analytical mind down….and it’s hard!!! You need your brain to think, strategize, plan etc. However, this won’t serve you well in the psychic realms!

Knowing when you are doing that takes a lot of trial and error. It’s all about sensing when you yourself are speaking vs. letting your guides speak through you. If you keep at it consistently, with steady practice (I do it every day), and then go back and notice, ok in this situation, etc I am adamantly sure I know the answer vs the guides coming in, that is the best way to tell.

One thing that is really fun about this though, is the more crazy the information you receive, the more likely it is to be accurate. And by crazy I mean something random that you would never know, you don’t know what that is or what it means, and then you write it down, research it and find out that the information is truly amazing and spot on. It’s really fun and that is when you know you have really let go and the flow is flowing through you. To achieve some level of freedom, liberation, and/or a different form of creative mastery, you have to surrender to the flow.

To channel something bigger than yourself, you really do have to let this higher force take over and flow through you. Not only with words but with healing energy, too. Any good clairvoyant teacher will tell you that in order to be really great, you have to step back and let the information and energy flow through you, you can’t effort. There is a whole section in clairvoyant training about effecting. When you put too much of your energy in, you are going to drain yourself vs. letting higher power flow through you. The same goes with channeling. The minute you think you know what you are talking about, you are stepping into the potential to be wrong.

In Remote Viewing, where you are gathering data at a distance, they have a term called AOL, which stands for analytic overlay. Let’s say you are viewing something, and you see water, water flowing, rocks, and then you’re like it’s a waterfall! And you are so stuck on it being a waterfall that you can’t see anything else, and you start describing attributes that may not even be there, because you think it’s a waterfall. That is the AOL talking, and perhaps what you are viewing is really water flowing out of a pipe or water gushing out of something else. To get past this, you have to let a part of yourself go, turn down your analytical  mind, work really hard to let it flow through you, and let it not make sense. That is when you are deep diving and finding the real treasures.

And truly, what is the point of all this if we are not tapping into something greater than ourselves – that is what makes it so fun!
Whether you are channeling, reading cards, or practicing clairvoyance or any form of energy healing, I hope this makes sense and helps. 🙂

I recently sent out a video about the dangers of working psychic fairs when you’re starting out doing readings and/or energy healings. This week’s video is a follow-up to that one, and it’s all about the vital importance of self-care for intuitive and energy practitioners.

Aside from the ongoing work of cultivating your skills and learning new techniques, once you are doing readings and healings for others, you must double down and take really good care of yourself, regardless of whether you’re doing this for fun, or professionally. I mean it’s a given that you should take care of yourself no matter what you do for work, but in the energy realms, the vitality of this can get very real, very fast!

The basics, of course, are that you want to eat well, hydrate, get lots of rest, exercise and get grounded into your body. So many intuitive and healers spend time in other realms that we are not  really “in” our bodies, and this can cause all kinds of problems, from an inability to focus, to (yikes!) an inability to manifest and make things happen in our lives.

Another big part of self-care is to cultivate a network, like a psychic friends network, that you can partner with, trade with or just straight up pay to help you clear your energy and get balanced.

You are a power center of energy, and you’re a conduit of energy that is flowing through you, for yourself and the people you are working with. That energy can get mucked up, drained, and triggered by all sorts of things, even if you are channeling pure light and have the highest intentions. Therefore, there are times when you will need to go to other people to get replenished and revived. It is a normal part of the practice, and going it alone without any support is just too hard and not necessary!

Just have a few different people on your team (people that you really really trust) to call on when you need it. Certain people have strengths, and are good at certain things. For example, I know a healer who is good with the physical body, another healer who is good at energy work, and a lightworker who clears negative entities. I also have family members who do healing work, as well as friends and friends of friends to go to when needed.

Another thing to note is that everybody is different, but there will be times when you will need to have a bodyworker instead of an energy worker – or someone who does both. Things change, so at different phases or stages you might need different things – energetic, emotional, or physical healing. You may need feminine energy at one time, and masculine at another. It’s all fluid and flexible and that’s part of the beauty of your path – whether you do this work or not, to be honest!

No matter how ethereal the work is, there is no substitute for the human connection and for allowing someone else to help you get back to center and to stay strong.

If you are doing readings or healings, be sure to tune in to yourself and whatever it is that you feel you need…do it, and get it! Don’t put self-care off! And remember to spend time in nature. Go outside and be near whatever habitat speaks to your body.

And one final word of advice…

KNOW YOUR LIMITS!!!

As healers, we can, at times, take on too much, doing more than we can physically handle. This can cause you to get drained, sick, and feel off kilter. Case in point, I recently scraped up the side of my car after some intense readings/healings because I was drained and ungrounded. It happens to the best of us, even when we are working in the light and channeling light – we are still human.

So, to sum it all up, don’t underestimate the importance of your self-care, and don’t do readings and healings if you are not up for it!

And remember, if there’s anything in your life that you would like assistance with, I’m here to help with readings, energy healings, on-demand meditations and my psychic development training program. So just reach out!

Hallo!

If you’re working on your psychic and intuitive development and want to make a go of it as a professional, I have some sage words of advice:

If you are sensitive, AVOID doing readings at psychic fairs and parties!

It makes sense and goes along with the business model of doing demo (paid or unpaid) readings for lots and lots people in a party/fair setting. After all, the more people who know who you are, the better, right?

Maybe…and then again, maybe not.

You see, from my experience, these types of events can be detrimental to your psyche, your chakras and aura, and your body. Now, some people are naturally good at seeing tons of people, one right after the other, and go through them like a powerhouse. I wish I was like that, but I’m not! Rather, I’m the one who did too many of these, fried my circuits a few times, got vehemently ill one time, fought off attachments, and am here to tell you, dear soul, that there has to be a better way.

Doing psychic work is not for the faint of heart and frankly can be very taxing on the HSP (Highly Sensitive Person). Couple that with doing readings for anywhere between 10 and 20 people, one right after the other, some of them drinking, some of them angry, and you’re setting yourself up for a major drain.

Although many people will tell you to simply activate a shield, I’ve seen from experience that creating a shield takes as much work as it does to channel energy and do a reading for someone. It take focus and dedication. You don’t just throw up a shield and call it a day.

Likewise, there are tools like crystals, stones, sage, palo santo, cedar wood, other essential oils, copper mats, iron rings, singing bowls, tuning forks, glasses of water and more that are purported to help you deflect the energy of others. They are fun to work with, but for the HSP, they simply can’t help when you’re in a situation where you are doing too many readings. You may be fine, up to a certain point – then someone comes in who is an energy vampire or a host to a gnarly attachment, or perhaps furious with you because you accidentally saw something a little too “real” for a party session…and you’re toast.

If you really want to bust your chops and get the experience, by all means do this – but reserve the next day for self-care. Don’t talk to anyone, drink a lot of water and tea, take baths, meditate and read books or watch Netflix.

Time out and meditation, running your own energy and calling in the forces of light are imperative if you want to stay strong, healthy, and unaffected by people you’re reading. There’s little opportunity for this in psychic fair/party environments. Yet, again, I know it’s an important step and way of getting your name out there. If you do want to do it, just pace yourself, try to do no more than 8 readings, and take breaks to recharge.

The psychic world can be dangerous; it’s like a walk in a park that has a nice playground, beautiful trees, a field and a lovely lake or river, and then an area way over there you should stay away from because there are drug dealers and hoodlums. Don’t play in that zone!

Stay in the light, and cultivate light. It takes daily work, and a level of intensity that I now know is imperative to your survival.

I hope this sheds some light on the matter. And remember, if there’s anything in your life that you would like assistance with, I’m here to help with readings, energy healings, on-demand meditations and my psychic development training program. So just reach out!

Hello and Happy New Year!

If you didn’t rush into 2019 with open arms and a great big list of empowering resolutions, no matter. You’ve still got Chinese New Year next month (February 5, 2019, to be exact). For the past couple of years, it’s taken me a while to adjust to a new year, namely because my son’s winter break is thrrrrreeeeeeeee weeks long. So my new year begins with the Lunar calendar, which also feels a bit more magical and spiritual. Bring on the Year of the Pig. Baa Ram Ewe!

Wherever you are in your New Year beginnings, there’s one thing we all could use a little help with: healing karmic contracts and agreements with other people. And so in the video above, I cover a couple of very simple and powerful techniques to help you do just that. The concepts – breaking agreement sticks and burning up karmic contracts – were handed down to me by a powerful clairvoyant energy healer I worked with a while ago, and they are quite refreshing and effective. So here’s the way it works:

Technique #1:
Breaking Agreement Sticks

Meditate and get yourself into a very quiet, calm place. This free meditation I made will help you transition into a great mental and energetic state for deeper healing work.

Next, imagine you are going up into a higher plane of consciousness, and with that person in mind, create a bunch of agreement sticks that represent what you have agreed to go through with this person, and break them. Then imagine you have a huge flaming bonfire and throw the broken sticks into the flames and see them burn up. Try using the violet flame, which breaks up energy at a very fundamental, core level. Let it all go, be done, and say “I release you with unconditional love and forgiveness.”

Technique #2:
Breaking Karmic or Soul Contracts

While in a deep meditative/intuitive state, you can also imagine there is a contract – a scroll, a paper, or let your imagination lead you to whatever you’d like to see with this. And then just burn it up with a violet flame, and say “Our karma is done, I release it, I release myself, and I am letting this go.”

Yes, these are blissfully simple techniques. But one of the tricks to making them more effective is to be in a deeply relaxed state first, so you can bypass your analytical mind and let your spirit run the show. The methods seem like imagination, but they do have an effect and it does work. I’ve seen it happen first hand!

Everything in the physical first exists on an energetic plane, so if you go into meditation with something that is bothering you, you can shift and move the energy around and release it in the energetic realms, so that it can be released down in the emotional/physical realms as well.

There are many ways to heal and work on releasing uncomfortable scenarios and situations. Having an arsenal of different techniques that help, especially when you are up against something that is extremely difficult, will only behoove you.

I hope this helps! And remember, if there’s anything in your life that you would like assistance with, I’m here to help with readings, energy healings, on-demand meditations and my psychic development training program. So just reach out!

In a follow-up to last week’s email and video about household shrines and altars, this week I’m chatting about how to use these sacred spaces to create a positive energy vortex in your home.

When you create a space with meaning and intention, and then activate energy by focusing on it, that space essentially becomes charged. The consistent use of a space in this manner creates a powerful vortex that has a lasting transformative vibration.

Essentially, a vortex is a power center, sometimes referred to as a link between the earth plane and the heavenly realms. Some exist naturally on certain parts of the planet. But you can absolutely create one on your own.

There are many ways to focus your energy on your shrine or altar. You can have it in your line of vision when you sit to meditate or pray. You can simply acknowledge it by placing sacred objects or offerings on it. You can touch it in passing and say a quiet prayer to your guides or angels, asking for assistance. If you’re feeling witchy or warlock-y, you can do positive spells at your altar or shrine, focusing on love, abundance, and personal growth.

The most beautiful thing about creating a positive energy vortex with your altar or shrine is that it’s a long-term arrangement. You don’t have to make it perfect all at once or work too hard to create the energy you want; it just sort of happens. For instance, I’ve been sitting in the same chair/corner to do my readings and healings for quite some time now. And when I walk into the space, I just FEEL the good energy. It soothes my soul. And other people feel it, too. It’s pretty amazing.

So whether you have a sacred space, or are looking to create one, know that it will indeed begin to generate a positive energy vortex that will help you to bring peace, hope, and clarity into your life. And who couldn’t use more of that?

I hope that helps, and I wish you all the best of luck in creating a happy, sacred space in your home. And remember, if there’s anything in your life that you would like assistance with, I’m here to help with readings, energy healings, on-demand meditations and my psychic development training program. We’re officially into the holidays now! One of the things that makes me happiest about the season is my beautiful Christmas tree, which has sparkling unicorns, dragonflies, fairies, gnomes, elves, birds, and golden snowflakes. Some of these beautiful ornaments were gifted by friends and family, and some I bought myself. Each item carries with it a memory that makes me happy. This year, I finally put up a special “2016” ornament with a photo of our beloved kitty, Coco, who crossed over that Christmas. Now that the sorrow has eased up, I am grateful to honor her here on the tree each year.

In writing this, I realized that the Christmas tree itself is a household shrine/altar in a way, because it is a power-point of positive energy; a thing of beauty to behold that shifts your energy and raises your vibration when you take it in. It represents hope, joy, happy memories, and magical things.

Holidays aside, it is so very helpful to have a shrine or altar in your home year-round, because this sacred space can help you elevate your consciousness, ground a very powerful energy into your environment, and aid you on the path of spiritual growth.

On a recent writing/research trip to Italy, one thing that I remembered from school, and witnessed in the museums and ancient sites I visited, is that everyone back in ancient times had a household shrine. It was a very common thing. Back then they had shrines to the goddesses, too; goddess worship was HUGE! I also had the realization that Mother Mary ended up being a symbol that embodied the energy of all of the different goddesses….she symbolically adapted all the traits of the great goddess herself. Many of the churches I visited in Rome were built over ancient temples, and it was amazing to go in there and tune into the powerful goddess (turned into Mary) energy. In one church, which was built over an ancient temple of Isis, I really felt the most powerful, loving, tender and caring divine feminine energy. It was bigger than Mary. It was the energy of the eternal goddess. Talk about power centers!!

Back to a household altar or shrine; the very bookcase I sit in front of for all my videos is my altar of sorts. I have a statue of the Shiva Nataraja, the Buddha, and a beautiful golden angel, as well as an amethyst crystal and many spiritual books I like. When I place something on there that doesn’t go (i.e. a dirty coffee mug), it feels off. This is a sacred space that makes me feel focused and at peace.

Any place that you can think of can be an altar in your home. I have a little corner in the living room with sacred objects. I have friends who have big huge altars in their living rooms – I mean entire walls of altars – and others who just have one quiet section with something meaningful to hold the space.

If you’re looking for creative ways to play with your household shrine or altar, you can place a candle, a picture of someone you love who crossed over, an inspiring painting, or images of spiritual avatars on it. Having an image of someone that inspires you, a guru in India or someone from any particular pantheon you are drawn to, can serve to remind you of their grace and strength and can be very charging – powerful enough to effectively raise your vibration.

While candles are fun and relaxing, the candle on your shrine or altar has a special significance. As you light that flame, it is a symbolic gesture indicating that you are lighting your inner flame, a beautiful spiritual principal that is very symbolic and holy.

Other things you can place on your altar are images of, or items that belonged to, family members who have passed, who may now serve as as spirit guides or ancestral guides. You can have a feather to symbolize angel energy, or a container or vessel of water as an offering to your guides and unseen friends and angels who are helping you on your path. You can place a little flower on your altar as a gift to your guides and a token of gratitude. In certain religions, offerings of fruit, like oranges or pomegranates, and incense invoke the presence of high level guides. No altar would be complete without a crystal or stone or two. These precious gems from the earth charge up the energy and keep the vibration high.

You can also place at your shrine or altar anything you want to have blessed; jewelry, mala beads. rosaries, essential oils, etc. Certain oils also attract certain energies; rosemary, for example, is good for bringing in high level fairy energy – good vibes –  and for heightening your psychic energy as well.

Some people pray at their altars; others center themselves and meditate in front of them. When you focus your energy in such a way, you create a vortex of positivity.

So whether you already have a shrine or altar, or are looking to create a new one, I hope this info helps. I made a follow-up video to this with more information on working a shrine/altar that I will send out next week, so keep an eye out for it!

Before we get into the difference between being psychic and telepathing, I have an announcement to make: my new website is live and ready for you to play on!  I hope you find it easier to navigate – from booking sessions to downloading meditations and workshops, it’s all there in a new and improved format. So check it out!

And now, more fun stuff – telepathy vs. psychic-ness. Most people tend to lump it all into one category, but there is a huge difference! When you are being telepathic, you are simply reading another person’s mind. While that might be interesting (and should be done only with permission because otherwise you are majorly invading someone’s privacy), it won’t get you very far if you are seeking the truth, because you’re stuck in that person’s thoughts, which are likely a mishmash of all sorts of hopes, fears, lists of things to do, and a few wayward assumptions about this and that.

When you’re being truly psychic, or clairvoyant if you’re a visual person, you’re not going to rely on another person’s mind or ego to deliver information to you. Instead, you’re focusing on energy and tapping in to a higher force that informs much more clearly.

Here’s an example of how this all works. When I first started doing readings professionally, I used tarot cards. When a person would be really emotional about an issue and then pull cards, the spread would often reflect exactly what they were worried about, but not offer a solution – the cards were straight up just telepathing. It would be pretty obvious to me when this would happen, and I would put the cards back, have the person clear their mind, and then re-shuffle and pull a new spread, which would always be different.

In a psychic space where I’m not using cards, I’ve learned to be very neutral, and set the readee’s energy aside in order to get a clear and truly psychic answer. We are very powerful, and if we’re not careful, our minds can sway the energy that someone is reading. While it’s fascinating to see that this can be done, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the person is powerful enough to sway the actual way something will turn out – only the energy as it is being read. That’s complicated, right? So it’s best to just be neutral, to not telepath, and rely on other forms of psychic intel instead, like clairvoyance, clairaudience, or instant knowing.

The cases where telepathing can be fun and useful most commonly arise in situations where you want to be in sync with family and friends and help with their needs and desires. For instance, children are naturally telepathic. All you have to do is think about ice cream or candy or toys really loudly in your mind, and they will instantly speak up in response. I’ve tried this with my son, Ivan, many a time and it really works. With others, just intuitively knowing and sensing how they are feeling or what they need is a form of telepathy that can better serve you in helping them.

It’s important to remember that telepathy is very natural. Animals do it all the time; in fact, I remember with my cat Coco, all I had to do was THINK about opening a can of tuna and she’d be right there in the kitchen in an instant. Psychic abilities are natural, too – they just take a bit more practice, primarily to get to that neutral place where you can really tap into the purest form of truth.

I hope that all makes sense. Thanks for reading and watching, and for checking out the new site! It took quite a while to get here, including tons of energy work to get my self-esteem to the place where I don’t despise my photographs. Thanks to the gifted photographer Emily Sandifer, and my dear friend Kristi, who held the space for us, it all went incredibly well.
