When was the last time you focused on the needs of your soul?
It’s a luxury to be able to ponder your soul and your path in life with an intent to make positive changes. You may not have been trained to think in terms of honoring your soul as you moved through childhood, adolescence, young adulthood and beyond. Life on earth is typically geared towards survival. More often than not, that means getting by, fitting in, and getting along with everyone else.
What is a Soul Need?
The needs of each individual soul vary. Every soul is unique, with its own blueprint, karma, and soul passions.
Recently, I played with asking the iChing, my favorite oracle for the past decade, what my soul needs. One answer I received was hexagram 56 – traveling. That made sense! But another answer surprised me: justice. My soul loves and deeply honors the principle of justice. Upon reflection, it makes complete sense. As an intuitive, it hurts to see people dishonor the truth. I’ve seen this happen in my own birth family, and it has hurt my soul. This is something I am working to heal.
Getting to Know Your Soul
Getting to know your soul is about bypassing your personality and ego and going straight to what makes you feel like life is worth living.
What you love. What you believe in. What makes you get out of bed in the morning.
My soul loves and needs time outdoors in quiet, pristine nature. Below is a picture of the lake where I am right now as I write this. It’s on a Canadian island called Manitoulin, known as the home of the Great Spirit. I’ve seen bald eagles, rabbits, geese, monarch butterflies, and more. Sacred land here.
What does your soul love?
With Love,
Krishanti
