More and more people are becoming distressed about the state of Western medicine and the “pill popping” band-aid approach to healing.

What I have learned in working with energy healing for the physical body is that healing is not linear. Many different factors often contribute to a state of dis-ease within the body. This is super important to be aware of! Knowing that there are often several factors contributing to illness is a major clue as to what could really be happening within the architecture of the body.

Western medicine tends to just fix whatever hurts the most, so doctors hand out pills or suggest surgery to just cut out the bad parts. More often than not, these solutions do not create complete healing. They just fix the one issue (hopefully).

Energy healing, and specifically Bengston, which is my favorite energy healing system, works differently. With Bengston, the energy seems to have its own intelligence. It automatically goes to the place within the body with the most need. That part heals, then the energy moves on to the next part. At times, it may treat several things at once. The most important part to know is that this is NOT a quick-fix approach. It takes time. Especially if the body has been living with the condition(s) for quite some time. However, the time it takes results in a more complete and holistic healing from the ground up.

Technology is wonderful and amazing, but is it training us to be in a perpetual state of distraction?

Focus is critical when it comes to developing psychic and intuitive abilities. And technology has the capacity to stand in the way of that. It can create the exact opposite of focus.

Phones, laptops, iPads, all the devices out there are incredible, and help so much with connecting us to one another. However, when these devices are over-used, they can pull us in a million directions. All the bells and whistles and notifications make us scattered, as if we have ADD. It’s hard to be present, to practice mindfulness, and to listen to that small, still voice when tech is running the show.

When we are ungrounded and scattered, we can’t hear our intuition very well. It’s hard to be fully present. Even if we think we’re at peace, the next notification that comes through drives us to grab whatever device to see who and what needs our attention.

To really deepen into your intuition and psychic ability, a state of calm, quiet peacefulness is the best place to be in. If you feel like technology is distracting in any way, the best solution is to silence notifications and create windows of complete detachment from phones and computers. I mean, there’s a reason why we talk about disconnecting for a while – but how about making a regular practice of it?

Are there things in your life, situations, or people that you’re not happy with any longer? And yet, for one reason or another, you tolerate them? If you’re noticing that you’re unhappy with how you tolerate it all, this is an invitation to work on your practice of self-love.

We are always creating things in our life. We create beliefs in concepts and ideas. We buy things. We allow people into our lives. We participate in jobs and other activities.

As life goes on, we change and evolve. In many cases, when we are on the spiritual path, we transform aspects of ourselves and are different today than we were 10 years ago. If we are still holding on to creations that no longer serve us, though, it’s a sign we aren’t in alignment with that powerful concept we all need to work on – self-love.

When we are really in the flow of self-love, we have our absolute best interests in mind. We don’t let ourselves go to jobs where we are bullied and mistreated. We don’t wear clothes that are shabby or stained. We don’t hang on to old junk that we don’t need.

Sometimes when it’s hard to understand exactly how to love the self, an easy action step is to just start releasing the old things that are no longer in alignment with who we are now. That starts a movement, an action plan, that gets us closer to a state of self-acceptance and self-love.

Creating space is a universal concept that works wonders energetically. If we do this with the intention of bringing in more things that reflect our compassion and love for the self, miraculous changes can take place.

Energy healing is so exciting! There are tons of different modalities out there that really do have an effect on the body. My favorite method by far, however, is Bengston. Not only does it work, Bill Bengston has been doing research in labs on the method for years and his studies are all documented.

These days, if we want to be in a state of optimal health, we really need to create a holistic approach to the care of our bodies. I love the idea of combining intuition with doctors and energy healing because that’s my niche. But we can all do this. In fact, we have to take care of our own bodies because the doctors are just too busy. They can even make life-threatening mistakes (story time in the video above!).

Bengston is extra fun because the method itself is based of a form of manifesting. You create a list of at least 20 experiences or items you want, identify them with an image, and then spin the images in your mind. This is called Image Cycling, and this generates the healing energy. You also get the items on your list. So you can have “I am completely healed” on your list, and also run energy to your body. This creates a two-fold powerful effect that facilitates the healing.

This method is not only fun, but the Bengston community itself is wonderful too. I’ve been facilitating a Bengston practice group for a couple of years now, and it’s the best.

If you use sage or another resin or botanical to clear energy, there’s a way to super-charge it so it is more effective.

Essentially, your intention makes a HUGE difference. But not only that! If you imagine you are drawing in and sending out golden white light while working with sage, it totally charges the energy in a whole new way. That light makes a powerful difference and has such a positive impact.

This week I’ve got a really easy energetic technique to help manage anxiety, which is rampant in our society these days.

It’s ridiculously simple – but it works! I’ve felt how powerful it is firsthand (details on how this discovery came about is in the video above).

All you have to do is breathe in a deep, rich, blue light. Just imagine you’re breathing that light in, and have it flow out into your aura. This will immediately ground out and calm down anxiety and anxious vibrations. You can do it. You can also have loved ones who share your space (and vibes) do it.

It’s easy and simple and can be done in about 10-30 seconds, and immediately you will feel a shift. It’s awesome!

You are an energetic being, and your electromagnetic field stretches out beyond your body. This is your aura. Your aura is very responsive to your physical health and how you feel emotionally. It shifts and changes as you do.

Your aura is so responsive to the cues you give it! It’s amazing how quickly it can change. Working with your aura can  absolutely impact how you feel, and how others relate to you.

In some cases, expanding your aura, fluffing it out, and making it big will be exactly what you need. This technique comes in handy when you’re giving a presentation, doing an audition, or just want to hold your space.

If you are super sensitive, you’re going to love the technique I present in this video! This is the second of a 4-part series on how to work with your aura.

Your entire being is comprised of energy, and that energy radiates out around your body. This is your aura. Some people have a really strong aura, and their emotions and vibrations radiate out quite powerfully. Some have a softer energy, and are more easily affected by the energy of others.

If you’re sensitive, and you’re in a place with intense energy (like a theme park or Costco or any super crowded loud and noisy place), or around someone whose energy is impacting you, try CONTRACTING your aura.

The aura is very responsive to the cues we give it. So just imagining you are pulling your aura tight around your body actually prompts it to do so. When you pull your aura in, you’ll feel less affected by strong energy.

The technique is as simple as that, but I explain it more in the video above, so check it out!
