Living life as an intuitive is different. We sense and feel at a much deeper level than non-sensitive, non-psychic intuitive people. Sharing life with an intuitive is a unique experience with challenges and benefits.

Here are the basic tips I cover in the video above:

1. Respect for both parties.
2. Understand that the intuitive’s triggers are like allergies
3. Create a peaceful, safe home space with positive vibes
4. As the intuitive, avoid the “I told you so” syndrome when your intuitive hits are accurate
5. Encourage the non-intuitive to be more intuitive – this absolutley works!

Are you an intuitive, or sharing your life with one? What other tips do you suggest? Please share in the comments below!

This week’s video is a discourse on cultivating a practice of self-love. This is one of the foundational pillars of a strong spiritual practice, but it’s not easy for many to master. For those of us who need to put a ton of work into building a strong foundation of self-love, it can take an entire lifetime.

The practice of self-love is deeply important on many levels. Not only does it tie in with evolving spiritually, but it also has a powerful ripple effect that others can embody and use to heal and grow.

There are infinite ways to go about it, from basic everyday things like mantras and affirmations, to deeper work like hypnosis, clairvoyance, and many other types of energy healings.

If you have time, check out the video above and let me know where you are in your self-love practice in the comments.

Thanks so much for reading and watching, and I’ll see you next time.

The past couple of weeks I’ve been chatting about re-connecting with your spirit guides. But one of the most important energies to stay in touch with is your higher self!

The question is, how to do it?

The iChing, an ancient oracle I read when things get cloudy and my intuition seems off, illustrated this to me this October.

I was confused about a challenging situation, and had a hard time connecting with my inner wisdom. The solution iChing gave me was hexagram 33, which is Retreat. This is not a negative retreat. It’s a retreat into yourself. It’s about renouncing the outer world and going within.

Retreat means gracefully nesting back into your home, your higher self, all the things you love, the things that help you feel like life is beautiful. It’s cultivating the power of your heart.

This is about returning to what makes your heart sing, what feeds your soul, what makes you happy. What you really love, the things you love to read, participate in, research on, be active in. All these things serve to lead you back to your origin, higher self, who you are.

When you go within, what do you find there?

Retreat allows you to hear the yearnings of your soul. Your higher self then becomes the dominant energy you follow as opposed to the “shoulds” that society places on this or that.

This is a message of cultivating power and strength by withdrawing. By actively being engaged with the world, you can forget the sound of your inner callings. But by pulling back, you come back to the foundation of who you are.

I am actively doing this now, and it is eye-opening. Not only that, it’s refreshing to remember who I am and what I really love.

If you make it to the end of this video, please share in the comments on YouTube about your own practices of connecting with inner wisdom. What do you love to do? What does your soul love? How do you connect with your higher self?

Thanks so much for reading and watching, and I’ll see you next time!

This week I’m bringing up a topic that is not very fun – boo! But it’s important!

Psychic development does not have to go hand in hand with spirituality, but the two blend together quite well. When we’re working on increasing our intuition and asking for spiritual guidance, we learn to live a life in alignment with our higher path.

Often, getting onto that higher path requires us to change our ways of thinking and be-ing.

I believe a big problem with our civilization is that many of us tend to refuse to see where we are wrong, to change our ways of thinking, reacting, and behaving. When we are not flexible and willing to adapt and change, that’s where things get stuck.

I recently had a big a-ha moment where I realized I had fallen deep into a pattern of flawed thinking regarding a situation in my life. I realized that I was operating from the space of my wounded inner child. This pattern of thinking was not comfortable, and when I realized what I was doing, I immediately vowed to change my perception. To adapt a new way of thinking about the situation, a more fresh and less “limited” approach.

This was a HUGE a-ha moment. The kind where I realized I was wrong – my thinking was wrong. It was pretty epic. And exciting.

When we really commit to the path, and doing “the work,” we will get tests and trials, because we are holding a different space. Ideally, we want to grow. We want to evolve. And a part of that process – in fact the entire process – requires a deep sense of humility and a willingness to change when change is needed.

What are your thoughts on this? Or your own personal experiences? Have you ever realized you needed to change something about yourself or your life? Please leave a comment on YouTube!

This week’s topic is not my favorite subject in the intuitive realm. In fact, it’s my least favorite! I’m talking about spirits (ghosts). Some people are fascinated by the topic. I, for one, am not.

Spirits/ghosts have a presence that is intrusive and pushy. Angels and guides are waaaay more sensitive. They work with you when you ask and do not mess with you when you are busy trying to live your life. Yes, they will intervene at moments, but they do not harass you. That is not their style.

Spirits, on the other hand, do not care. They will do anything to try and get your attention. They can violate your space and boundaries, especially when the veil is thin and they have not gone to the light.

And why are some spirits still hanging around the earth realm? There are many reasons. Sometimes they were confused when they died and don’t know where they are or that they are dead. Other times, they have unfinished business they can’t let go of. They weren’t ready to die, and they desperately need to say or do a few things.

If you are sensitive, it’s as if they can tell you can see/hear them. And so they do everything to get your attention, even if you have no idea who they are and you are not a medium and have no desire to listen to what they have to say. The worst thing is, some of them just won’t leave. They try and attach (not good). So you have to actually stop everything you are doing, and do a spirit releasement ceremony to get them to leave. I’ve had to do this! It’s extremely time consuming, but sometimes it’s the only option if you wish to regain your peace.

If spirits are bothering you, these tips can help get them out of your field and out of your environment:

1. Level 1 – Basic

Light some sage, palo santo, or copal to create a sacred space. Bring in flowers and beautiful music or singing bowls/bells to clear the vibration of the space you are in. Pray to all of the angels and guides and ask them to help the spirit cross over. Politely ask the spirit or spirits to go to the light. Plan on spending 30-60 minutes on this.

2. Level 2 – Intermediate

Create a sacred space (above). Meditate to ground yourself. Then, fill your aura with light. Spend some time on this  – 15 mins minimum on the light work alone. Then, imagine you are going on a field trip to the proverbial gates of heaven, where all of the angels are. Whatever religion you are – it doesn’t matter. Imagine you are escorting this spirt with angels and loved ones through the gates of heaven. Make sure it feels all the love and light and see it disappear. Plan on spending 60 mins to 3 hours on this. It may take more than one try.

3. Level 3 – Advanced

Just go to a professional. There are mediums who specialize in spirit releasement. This is a unique talent. I put this in the advanced category because here you are just not messing around. You are going to drop some serious cash (please just don’t believe anyone who charges you thousands). However, when the situation is dire and/or you just are not having luck, this is an advanced situation and you need professional help. I have had to do this at times, and it was well worth it.

There is so much more to the world of energy than we are aware of, and unfortunately psychic work is kind of like opening Pandora’s Box. But this world can be navigated with proper care and attention.

Have you had experienced spirits around? Were you able to release them? Please share in the comments on YouTube! Thanks so much for reading and watching, and I’ll see you next time.

This week’s video topic is short and sweet, but important. Especially in this era of social media, where most people are conditioned to share the highlights of their life. We see all the good and little (if any) of the negative, which can cause us to believe other people are not suffering and/or lead more charmed lives than we do.

The thing is, everyone has either suffered, is suffering, or will suffer at some point or another in their life. I’m not saying this to paint a dark picture!

It’s true.

We are ALL here to learn and grow. And no matter how good people make you think their life looks, there is always something they struggle with. Every. Single. Person.

It’s important to realize that people are adept at protecting their private lives. So when we see perfection from the outside, we have to remind ourselves not to get stuck in the “They have it all and I don’t” paradigm.

If those feelings arise, a good practice is to focus on what you do have. On your innate talents and traits and the things you have accomplished. If life has been hard, it’s only made you stronger. More adaptable. You’ve overcome hardships and learned valuable lessons. Sometimes the challenges we face are spiritual tests that enable us to grow in ways we can’t really understand here on the earth plane.

What are your thoughts on this? Have you thought someone had it all and later discovered they were going through challenges you were not aware of? Put it in the comments!

Thanks so much for reaching and watching, and I’ll see you next time.

This week’s video is something I think about a lot when it comes to spiritual work. In the olden days, we were taught to look to the leaders of our churches and temples to guide us. They were the ultimate authority (below God). That’s not necessarily the case any longer.

If you are on the psychic and/or spiritual path, it’s more important than ever to be careful about choosing people to be authority figures. We live in a world that values power and loves power struggles. Sadly, the spiritual world is not always a place of refuge for all who seek it.

When you are feeling a need for hope and reassurance, psychic readings and spiritual quests with gurus, shamans, and spiritual teachers can feel like the soothing miracle balm you need. But when you begin to blindly follow someone, it can get dangerous. Although spiritual, some gurus have huge egos and do not have your concerns at heart. I am not talking about a particular person or people here. I’m just speaking to the importance of not making anyone an idol.

Same goes for psychic and energy healing work! Don’t put your readers and healers on a pedestal. They are only human! If you hear a negative prediction or don’t like what you’re being told by a reader or healer, remember to trust your own judgement and inner guidance.

The most valuable spiritual experiences are those in which your very SOUL resonates with what is happening and you know you are clicked in to your own inner truth. This is so important that I made an entire video program about it. It’s called “Psychic Development: How to Read People.” When you develop the skill of reading people’s motives, drives, and intentions, you can operate from a grounded sense of peace and calm. You trust your impressions. Having this skill is priceless.

Have you ever had a reading that was so not in resonance with who you are? And have you, or do you know anyone, who has been involved with a spiritual guru and later discovered there was a dark side that nobody saw? Let’s not name names – that’s not what this is about – but it would be interesting to hear.

Thanks so much for reaching and watching, and I’ll see you next time.

Have you met your power animal (or animals) yet?

When I sat down to make this video, the first thing that came to mind was all the power animal jokes that have been circulating in the past few years. You know, like “Sasquatch is my power animal” or “Baby Yoda is my spirit animal” or whatever.

The thing is, power animal medicine really is no joke.

There is a very deep and ancient primal life force that activates within us when we surrender to our power animals. The guidance they can provide is nothing short of miraculous. We connect with them best by meditating or lucid dreaming. They then start showing up in our everyday lives when we are not meditating, dreaming, or journeying.

If you are looking for a deeper way to connect spiritually, try finding and working with your power animal(s). Try the techniques I mention in the video above, and let me know how it goes in the comments on YouTube!

Interested in learning more about the depths of astrology? I sat down with astrologer Jim Seymour recently to discuss how we can use astrology to further our spiritual growth.

Jim wrote a lovely synapsis below:

“Our natal charts are literally a “snapshot of the sky” for the exact moment and geographic location of our birth. The Universe is constantly pulsing with stellar and planetary energies at each given moment in time, therefore we’re all literally existing in a cosmic ocean of these powerful, yet unseen energies.

This resonant electromagnetic field~ into which all of us are born~ provides a background mosaic of harmonic and geometric energies that effectively “imprint” each of us in unique and extremely precise ways. The orbiting planets act like lenses, reflectors and step-down transformers of this energy, creating a constantly shifting, spatial orientation to the Earth~ and therefore to us~ in our local neighborhood in space. This baseline pattern of holographic imprinting is reflected in our birth charts, and like DNA, it remains embedded within us for life.

The planets however, do not “cause” things to happen, in the normal sense of the word. They are part of a greater cosmic phenomenon known as the Hermetic Law of Correspondences, which is encapsulated in the ancient axiom “As above, so below.” In other words, the same force that moves the planets also moves us, and this dynamic mechanism of energy correspondences powerfully influences the journey of the spirit soul through each lifetime.”

Isn’t that AMAZING? Hearing Jim speak about astrology is truly incredible. He knows his stuff! Here’s some more background info on Jim:

Jim Seymour’s passion for astrology was ignited back in 1994 while he was living in New South Wales, Australia. There he was cast in the role of Mercury for the Byron Bay stage production of Astro Playback Theater II. After an 82 year old woman came up to the stage with tears in her eyes and told the actors they had just accurately portrayed her life, Jim realized that he had to investigate the ancient “science of the stars” further! He has been studying, applying and writing on the timeless principles of astrology ever since. His lively readings integrate western astrology, eastern wisdom and intuitive insights. Thus empowered by seeing their lives from a higher angle of vision, clients can better realize their potentials for a joyful, purpose-driven life of deep meaning and satisfaction.

A dear client, who is very intuitive and creative, asked me to make a video about bedtime rituals. I love a good ritual, don’t you!?! And bedtime is the perfect time to wind down, delve into some fun, wonderful and practical self-care, and program your subconscious mind while you sleep.

Experts say we should stay away from electronics and disengage for a while before bed. They also recommend getting sleep during a certain window of time. In this video, I talk about my favorite techniques to prep for bedtime, including a very easy way to re-program your subconscious mind.

What are your favorite bedtime rituals? Please put them into the comments on YouTube. It’s so fun to share and see what everyone else is up to! Thank you!
