The world of energy is vast, limitless, and in some ways completely incomprehensible, because you can’t really see it, but you can absolutely feel it. That’s why I was thrilled when Kristie asked me to explain the concept of foreign energy, which is addressed a lot in clairvoyant circles.

Your aura and chakras can pick up foreign energies just as easily as your physical body can pick up dirt and debris. The aura is very responsive to the energetic environment it’s in. So if you’re trapped all day in an angry, stressful, negative environment that makes you feel bad, your aura (and likely chakras, too) will absolutely be impacted by this. Whereas if you’re feeling happy and peaceful and are enjoying the great outdoors, your aura and chakras will reflect that as well.

Foreign energy is nothing to be afraid of. Rather, it’s like someone or something is invading your space. And because it’s your space, you have every right to kick it out. The aura and chakras do work together, but because the aura is the electromagnetic vibration that surrounds your body, whereas the chakras are energy centers within your body, both are impacted a little bit differently by foreign energy. Here’s the lowdown:

Foreign Energy in the Aura:

  • Energetic muck, dirt, debris – just low-level vibrations
  • Someone hanging on to you and wanting to be in your space: i.e. baby beings, young children, spouses, co-workers
  • Slime (emotional energy basically) left by someone or someplace
  • Old energy you just never did clear away
  • Yucky low-vibrational beings who came in when you were distressed or down

Foreign Energy in the Chakras:

  • Cords of attachment from miscellaneous people
  • The energy of people who had a very big impact (positive or negative) in your life
  • Energetic imprints, memories, beliefs and ideas from your childhood
  • Powerful energy from traumatic events
  • Past life energetic imprints

Most diseases show up in the aura before they manifest in the physical body. Therefore, keeping your aura healthy and strong is essential for your overall wellbeing. Luckily, this is ridiculously easy to do. Eat well, exercise, listen to music you love, do things you love to do, spend time with positive people and in nature, and you’ll pretty much be good to go. If you feel mucky, a shower will help. You can add sea salt for a little extra oomph if so desired.

The chakras are a bit more intricate to work with, and from what I have seen, proper energy clearings done by a professional are pretty effective. That said, you can certainly work on yourself, too, and I absolutely advocate this – there are a lot of very good chakra healing meditations out there that work. I have one written down that I have yet to record, but once I do, I’ll share it with you!

If you are sensitive, you can tell when your energy is off. And to be honest, some very basic R&R is the best thing you need to get yourself back into good condition. Self-care is essential, especially in these hectic times. Avoid negative energy and negative people, listen to your body and your spirit, and  let your intuition guide you to what you need.

For many people, the term “aura” seems pretty new-agey. But when you think about it, it makes perfect sense – everything that vibrates naturally emits an energetic force field, so your aura is just the vibration that your cells, molecules, and emotions make.

It is very easy to work with your aura: by just imagining it changing, it actually does change. This, too, makes common sense, because when a particle/photon/electron is viewed, it changes – that’s Quantum Theory.

A healthy aura equates to a healthy body and emotional field, so if you work to balance both, you’ll be in great shape. Here are some of the things your aura needs to be healthy and strong:

  • Sunlight
  • Nature
  • Fresh clean water
  • Fresh clean foods
  • Plenty of rest
  • Good physical activity
  • Positive emotions
  • Positive thoughts
  • High-vibrational music
  • High-vibrational atmospheres

And there you have it! Everything on the opposite end of that list equates to a weaker, clogged, clouded or even torn aura. The good thing is, damage to the aura can be repaired with energy work and intention. You can do this yourself by simply following the basics of the list above, or by working with an energy healer, massage therapist/bodyworker, traditional therapist, TCM practitioner, etc.

A nice, clean, strong aura keeps you feeling good and clear. It helps you manifest what you want to experience in life, and it equates to good physical health as well. Maintaining your aura is as important as brushing your teeth, and it’s as easy to do as applying lotion to your body each day. 🙂

It’s imperative for your personal and spiritual growth that you take time out for self-care, to slow down, tune out the noise of the world around you, and retreat. However you wish to do that is your prerogative (I just noticed how funny that word is spelled!), but just be sure to do it and know that this, too, will impact your overall health, happiness, and well-being!
