A viewer requested that I talk about Source and the higher self, so here goes.

The Source

I believe that God, or Source, is not a gendered being, but more of a source of light that is encrypted with data and information. Like an energy that knows things.

We humans made God into a man in the sky because that is what we relate to as human beings. Seeing God as a person makes God more understandable. But really, from what I’ve seen, I think Source is palpable, tangible, intelligent light and energy.

The Spirit

I believe that the spirit is a part of that source energy. It’s a spark of light that can individuate and live in a human body, and then become one with the greater Source after the body is no longer.

The Higher Self

The higher self is like a higher part of our mind that channels our spirit. Recently I had an idea that the higher self/spirit/soul are encoded with information, just as Source is. Like a credit card chip that has data that tallies what you spend. From what I have read and seen firsthand in readings, the spirit has a memory. It records things, so it’s like light with data encrypted in it.

They’re all Interchangeable

Some call use words like higher mind, higher self, spirit and soul interchangeably. As if they are all one and the same. I’ve also heard spiritual teachers say that the soul is not the same thing as the spirit. Some say the soul is the vehicle for the spirit, so it’s just another vessel, like our body, that houses the spirit. That very well could be!

I haven’t seen it first hand, though, so to me that, and all of this, really just is conjecture. What I see is that the soul, spirit, and higher self work very closely together and it’s OK to refer to them interchangeably.

Don’t you wish people in the world were more flexible with beliefs and religions? Rather than fight over which religion has it “right,” we’d be so much better off investigating our own beliefs and not discounting anyone else’s experiences. Alas, that’s for another lifetime…looks like the human race has a ways to go on that front.

This week’s topic is very interesting! It’s about psychic development, and the common tendency to make psychic-ness synonymous with spirituality. We’ve all seen the storefront psychics with signs that say “Spiritual Advisor,” right? And many people naturally think that the whole intuitive world is inherently spiritual. But that is not the case!

It Doesn’t Have to be Spiritual.

That can definitely be a part of it, but spirituality doesn’t define psychic work. The general populace doesn’t really like or understand what being psychic means, and one of the things I think that holds people back is the notion that it’s somehow married to spirituality, and there are no distinctions between the two.

You can be psychic, and you can use those facilities often, and never have it be spiritual or religious. You don’t have to talk to spirit or God or have some otherworldly experience in another dimension.

Take it from the Remote Viewers – they Know!

A classic example of this comes from the world of remote viewing. Remote viewing is about using a part of your consciousness to gather information on a target that is not in your general field of awareness. Remote viewing is very straightforward and scientific. It does not have to have anything to do with spirituality. It is just about gathering information on targets.

And the same goes for other types of psychic work! You can use psychic data and intel to predict stock market movement, to tune into and look at investments, to scan the physical body and see where people have illness. That does not have to have anything to do with spirituality at all, whatsoever.

It CAN be Spiritual, but it Doesn’t HAVE to be.

What I have found is that I personally like the spiritual side of things, because it give me comfort. But everyone is different. Psychic and spiritual don’t mean the same thing. If you are interested in exploring this realm, you can make it fit into your own particular belief system – and it will!

I’ve thought about this week’s message for many years now. And it’s this: one of the most incredibly powerful ways you can relate to the people in your life is by…

Looking at them with a Sense of Understanding and Acceptance.

Why? Because it is both therapeutic, and spiritually aligned. While love is, of course, a very strong vibration, sometimes it’s hard to continuously emit a frequency of unconditional love. It’s easier to look at someone and try to understand where they are coming from, why they behave the way they do, and then to accept them just the way they are.

Many of the issues people have with each other spring forth from the fact that they are unwilling to understand and to get why they are they way they are…and then to be OK with it and accept it.

It Works with Family, too!

Understanding and acceptance is especially helpful when it comes to people within our family, and/or at work. People who rub us the wrong way and irk us, making us feel like ARGH!!! can really test our merit. A way around feeling like that is to look into what others have been through, and to deeply try and understand the whole genesis of who they are, inside and out.

As an example, some people are suffering with legitimate chemical imbalances in the brain. They look fine and “normal,” but they are not, because they are dealing with a very challenging health problem. Many people dealing with this face their own feelings of immense guilt and shame. On top of that, others in their life accuse them of being down in the doldrums, or not like everyone else.

I thought of talking about this in this video because a couple of beautiful souls came to me for readings recently who are dealing with this exact ailment. If their loved ones only knew and understood that they have legitimate physiological issues, they might find it easier to simply “be” in life.

Employ Your Intuition with this One.

A very helpful and useful way to use your intuition is to figure out what makes people tick so that you can understand why they are the way they are. You can’t change them; you can only change yourself, and, as they say, knowledge is power.

Being an understanding and accepting person is such a wonderful way to be. It’s definitely peaceful and creates more harmony in your life. It lets you let go!

And to be on the receiving end of that, to be understood and accepted, is priceless. I love being around friends who completely get me. I can be myself. I am seen. I am understood. I am accepted.

People who accept you can literally save your life…they make you feel like you are OK, and that you are fine just the way you are. It’s so healing and feels SO GOOD!

That’s all for this week! Thanks so much for reading and watching. And remember, if there’s anything in your life that you would like assistance with, I’m here to help with readings, energy healings, on-demand meditations and my psychic development training program. So just reach out!

So I haven’t talked about this much, but I made a spiritual pilgrimage to Italy last year to visit Rome and Florence. While I was there, I roamed all though the Vatican and went to the Wednesday audience with Pope Francis, or, as they lovingly call him in Rome, Papa Francesco. That day, he delivered an interesting talk about the commandment that says…

THOU SHALT NOT KILL.

We have all heard of that one, right? And it’s pretty obvious, like, duh, of course I’m not going to kill anyone! I remember thinking that when I first learned about that commandment as a kid.

But Papa Francesco put a spin on it that I honestly hadn’t heard before (it’s not like I’m Catholic or anything so I don’t know if they talk about this in regular church). He said it’s not just about killing someone. He said “Thou Shalt not Kill” also applies to putting people down, belittling them, or making them feel bad about themselves. Intentionally hurting another person in any way is breaking that commandment because, by doing that, you’re crushing their soul. That means…

Bullying is a BonaFide Sin.

I have been bullied over the years by family, and in the workplace – horribly so. If you have a job where you are bullied like I was in a few different scenarios, I feel your pain. That royally sucks because it’s your livelihood! The whole thing is really shocking. And, sadly, it’s rampant.

Doris Day got it Right…

The beautiful and talented Doris Day died this year, and one of her most famous quotes that circulated around was “I never met an animal I didn’t like, and I can’t say the same thing about people.”

But back to Rome! When the pope was talking about this, I totally had an a-ha moment, like OH! THAT’s what that commandment is about!  We shouldn’t be assholes to each other and putting people down and bullying them and being mean, because that is a form of violence. The soul is a beautiful vibrant energy, and repeated attacks and put-downs can crush someone’s spirit. I mean, abusing kids can ruin their lives. For example…

A Lifetime of Repairing the Self-Esteem

I was raised by my mom and Nana, who was spiritual, but also talked shit about everyone all the time. She was very hard on me, much to my detriment. Of course there was some good, and I have spent a lot of time on forgiveness for the bad, but the way she treated me damaged my self-esteem to the point where this is one of the things I will be working on for my entire life.

The good new about that is, hey! I have something to work on and keep busy with. And, once I figure it out, I can share it with you guys. Every cloud has a silver lining, right?

It’s a Beautiful World (or it CAN be)

If we can all think about treating each other with respect, and work to see the spirit in someone and honor that and be peaceful and kind, much goodness can come about as a result.

Circling back to that commandment, I’ve noticed that even spiritual people can be critical, unkind, and cruel. Maybe it’s because those of us who turn towards spirituality have the most work to do. But we have to watch ourselves and stay true to the path. When the negativity comes up, as it often does, the best avenue to follow is to take a look at it and ask why you are being triggered by others, as opposed to just reveling in your anger and annoyance.

We should be behaving better. We should be kinder to each other! Let’s love each other and serve as role models for one another. We don’t have to be Polly Perfect little pleasers. We can have fun and laugh and be naughty! We just don’t have to crush people’s souls!

If someone you know starts with garbage critical talk, try and change the subject. Steer it towards the beauty in other people and the good things people are doing. The more we focus on that, the more it becomes our reality, and it will have a domino effect. You can create your own beautiful paradise in life. It IS possible!

Have you ever heard the concept of people going through trials that test their faith or strength? I remember that used to be prevalent a while ago, but I haven’t heard it come up much lately in this era of instant gratification and manifesting as a cure-all to every woe.

No matter how much we know and how good and pure we are, many of us still struggle. And that goes for all of us, including light workers and those on the spiritual path – people just like you and me.Mother Teresa Struggled Too, Ya Know

There tends to be a common belief out there that those who are spiritual and do light work and energy healings don’t go through things, that they can handle everything and they don’t struggle. People were shocked when Jerry Hicks and Wayne Dyer died of cancer. The thing is, those of us walking the higher path do face a lot of trials. I mean, remember when it came out that Mother Teresa had some major struggles and moments of extreme doubt? And she’s a saint now! Come to think of it, many of the saints struggled immensely while here on earth. I mean, look what Christ went through! Jesus Christ!

Just because you can raise the dead, cure cancer, give anyone any answer in the world, talk to god, and see angels, doesn’t mean you get a free pass that makes you exempt from struggling. For those of us on the path of spiritual growth, it’s not all roses all the time. There are plenty of thorns, too.

It’s NORMAL.

If you are struggling deeply, please know that this is normal. Release any thoughts of guilt or shame, or the feeling that you should be able to fix yourself or solve this.

Just because you have all the tools available to humankind doesn’t mean you don’t go through things! I just really want to dispel the myth that you shouldn’t have to go through stuff or suffer. That brings shame, which adds more bad energy to what is happening.

Everyone who is here on the planet is going through stuff. We struggle, we overcome, we have good cycles and bad cycles. If we were superhuman and perfect, we probably would not need to incarnate here. It’s a normal part of the path.

There is Plenty of Help, both Here and on the Other Side.

The good news is, there is plenty of help out there if you are on this path. Follow your favorite teachers, read their books, work with them, listen to their meditations. Get healings and energy work. Find new teachers when you’ve mastered the teachings of old ones. Cycle back to ones you loved in the past. Don’t limit yourself!

Ask for your guides and angels and god and higher power and the entire universe to bring you the help you need and help you get through cycle of darkness and pain to get to the other side. There is no reason you have to be strong all by yourself. These higher-level beings offer a great amount of solace and hope in times of darkness.

I have worked with wonderful people who feel that they have been pushed to what they feel is the very end. They’re on the phone with me sobbing, saying I can’t handle one more thing, and they don’t want to be here anymore. And wouldn’t you know, by some miracle or another, they feel better the next day. Eventually, a new cycle begins, and they’re OK. They’ve made it through to the other side.

If you are struggling, just know that you are NOT alone!

In a follow-up to last week’s email and video about household shrines and altars, this week I’m chatting about how to use these sacred spaces to create a positive energy vortex in your home.

When you create a space with meaning and intention, and then activate energy by focusing on it, that space essentially becomes charged. The consistent use of a space in this manner creates a powerful vortex that has a lasting transformative vibration.

Essentially, a vortex is a power center, sometimes referred to as a link between the earth plane and the heavenly realms. Some exist naturally on certain parts of the planet. But you can absolutely create one on your own.

There are many ways to focus your energy on your shrine or altar. You can have it in your line of vision when you sit to meditate or pray. You can simply acknowledge it by placing sacred objects or offerings on it. You can touch it in passing and say a quiet prayer to your guides or angels, asking for assistance. If you’re feeling witchy or warlock-y, you can do positive spells at your altar or shrine, focusing on love, abundance, and personal growth.

The most beautiful thing about creating a positive energy vortex with your altar or shrine is that it’s a long-term arrangement. You don’t have to make it perfect all at once or work too hard to create the energy you want; it just sort of happens. For instance, I’ve been sitting in the same chair/corner to do my readings and healings for quite some time now. And when I walk into the space, I just FEEL the good energy. It soothes my soul. And other people feel it, too. It’s pretty amazing.

So whether you have a sacred space, or are looking to create one, know that it will indeed begin to generate a positive energy vortex that will help you to bring peace, hope, and clarity into your life. And who couldn’t use more of that?

I hope that helps, and I wish you all the best of luck in creating a happy, sacred space in your home. And remember, if there’s anything in your life that you would like assistance with, I’m here to help with readings, energy healings, on-demand meditations and my psychic development training program. I know that if you’re reading this, you’re likely interested in working on strengthening your intuition while healing yourself and evolving and growing along the spiritual path. And as you probably already know, the thing about true spiritual growth is that it’s rarely a walk in the park. Life will throw you curve balls and make you stretch and shift and transform from top to bottom and inside out. While the universe loves you and it’s all going to be fine in the end, getting through “THIS” is not always blissfully easy.

One thing I’ve been drawn to focus on lately in my own development is the concept of limiting beliefs and the patterns those beliefs create. A wonderful and powerful healer I’ve been working with gently helped me to see something HUGE and I am so grateful for it…and it led me to think about a cool and fun exercise we can all do to help ourselves course-correct while strengthening our intuition and our connection with our guides.

And that is this:

Why not ask your guides to show you where you’re stuck in old concepts, patterns, and beliefs that are no longer serving you…and then be open to what comes through? I guarantee they will deliver messages lovingly and with great care, either through signs, passages in books, or any other form of communication you are attuned to.

The reason this might be more helpful than asking friends, family members, co-workers or a peer group is that when it comes to really deep-seated “trigger” issues (the kind that sink into your cells and create illness and disease), it can actually be really painful to get criticism, constructive or not, from other people in your life. So much so that you can build up a wall of resistance against it…and when it comes through, it can trigger more pain or activate old programming that causes you to feel bad or set back.

If you ask your guides to help, you’ll be in the win-win situation of A) strengthening your intuition and your connection with your guides while B) working on your personal path towards enlightenment and spiritual growth.

PLUS the way they help you is just so loving that you can’t get offended or hurt or bristle with indignation. In addition to this, guides have a great sense of humor, which will lighten the load and help you see that this is all just one great big learning experience anyway.

So try it out and ask questions like:

What are the limiting beliefs I have about something pertaining to an area I’m struggling with and how can I change them?

How am I doing things in a way that might not be for my highest good?

How can I improve my thought patterns?

What can I do to make life easier for myself and those around me?

Where do I need to course-correct?

And then just take note of the answers that come through. Don’t ask too many questions all at once. Just start with one, be very open to helpful advice, and take note of the answers and solutions that come through. Some might appear in ways that surprise you. Your guides love to communicate with you and will use a myriad of ways to do so.

Just be open to being surprised, and trust that you’ve got help. Yes, it takes work, but that doesn’t mean the work has to be tedious or arduous. It’s a process!

Whether you are suffering through a breakup, the end of something that never really began, or a general parting of ways, the experience is rarely fun. So here are a few self-healing essential tips to help you recover with ease, so you can reclaim your energy and move forward.

When I first started doing professional readings, I was thrilled to be able to use my intuitive know-how and thought it fascinating that you could pretty much google the universe any conceivable question – and get an answer. However, I soon found out something very interesting about 95% of the people doing the asking: they MOSTLY just wanted to know about romantic relationships, and how to heal from them.

In fact, I had so many women coming to me asking how to stop obsessing over a guy that I created an entire month-long program to help. You may have taken it – it’s called Get Him Off Your Mind in 28 Days. Many women said the exercises and healing meditations in the program really helped them recover.

So in the video above, I go over some of the basics that have come up universally in the thousands of readings and healings I’ve done to help beautiful souls (like you!) to recover:

1. Remember to part ways energy-wise…that other person will have had an impact on you. This will be harder if the relationship was more in-depth or energetically charged, and may take a wee bit longer to heal from.

2. Allow yourself to go through a mourning process – there has to be time for you to heal and release!

3. Be aware that when you are sexually connected you create cords, cords into the root, second, and third chakras. Start with your solar plexus, the seat of your personal power. Imagine there is a cord running between you and that person, and cut it. Call in the archangels; typically Archangel Michael with his sword surrounded by the violet flame will help.

4. Reclaim your sex organs, ground into yourself, and into the earth. Create a grounding cord, plug it into earth, and release that person’s energy down through that grounding cord (free grounding meditation on my website HERE!)

5. If you feel too overwhelmed, do a cleanse and/or monitor or change your diet. Shift things up, purifying the body and reclaiming it as your own. (the other person may have claimed you as their own, so you need to make sure you are taking your body back).

6. Do a series of scrubs, cleanses, aura & chakra cleansing and purification rituals, focusing on the lower 3 chakras.

7. For your heart chakra, release the person with love and forgive them. Just imagine you are energetically taking them out of your heart and sending them back, release, you are done, cut cords, do not think about them too much, just let go. Manipulative and hurtful people can really hurt your heart if you hold them in there with the imprint of pain that was exchanged between the two of you. Send them away with love and then flood yourself with love, fill your aura with love, send bright pink and green energy to your heart, and focus on green and pink healing energy when you meditate.

Remember, above all else, to be gentle with yourself, and to give yourself time.

AND A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

If you are fearing that having this kind of person in your life, or being in this sort of circumstance, is becoming a pattern, listen up!

Just by the virtue of you recognizing this means you are in a position to break it and end it. This is where you bring in your power to manifest things, to shift the karma, and to release it. If you are feeling the calling, it is the time. You will transform and evolve in the process and you will evolve out of that circumstance happening. You will not have to repeat it. You CAN do it.

Remember, if there’s anything in your life that you would like assistance with, I’m here to help with readings, energy healings, on-demand meditations and my psychic development training program. So just reach out! 🙂

Hello!

As a spiritual and open-minded person who believes in energy, auras, spirit guides, angels, intuition and the like, do you have a hard time sharing these beliefs with others? Louise, who asked me to talk about this subject, does. And I did (and still do, in new situations when people ask me what I “do”).

Coming out of the spiritual closet is a GREAT BIG DEAL. And like coming out of any closet, it helps to find a community so you can thrive and grow in a supportive space, with people who will believe in you, love you, accept you, and support you unconditionally.

When I learned how to be psychic, and then discovered I was getting kind of good at it, I totally had to come out of the closet. If you would like me to make a video or talk about just that, please let me know and I will. But after fumbling like 3 times trying to record the video above, I decided to just try and finish it with tips that will help you if you are just on the verge of coming out of that closet – or are at least seeking more like-minded friends. And so here are some of them!

Test the Waters

With friends, co-workers, and family, just ask a mild question, like “Did you hear about (some reincarnation thing, or a new book, or movie, or video, or something of the like)? What do you think about that? Do you believe in it?” If the response is positive, go further and see what happens. If it’s totally shut down and negative, move on to The Weather or something more mundane.

Go to Spiritual Places

There are tons of them in LA – mediation centers, sound baths, yoga studios, spiritual bookstores, and the like. Wherever you are, seek out the places where like-minded magical people are apt to gather, and GO THERE regularly.

Start a Book Club or Group

When I first started out, I had meetings at my home just in my living room! I made a couple of nice friends that way. If a psychic development, energy healing, or tarot group seems too “out there” for your area, try a book club, and introduce books with more spiritual, holistic, or metaphysical topics – fiction, nonfiction, or both. And then try the “test the waters” technique.

Send your Energy Out

You can beam your energy out like the light from a lighthouse, with the intention to draw in or attract like-minded people, soulmates, and those on the same energetic bandwidth as you. Set your intention for the kind of people you want to meet, go into a short meditation, and just “beam out” your light. Do this every day for a couple of weeks. It will work!

Don’t try to Convert Anyone

Converting people doesn’t work, nor does trying to talk about things they simply can’t accept. People will open up when they are ready, and not a minute sooner.

Remember: You are a Pioneer

Life is meant to be shared with others, and if you are on this path, it is so much fun when you get to talk about your beliefs and experiences with like-minded people. Being around these people also helps you grow and evolve. As a group consciousness, all of us on earth are headed in this general direction; you, as a believer, are just at the forefront of this evolution. It’s not always easy being one of the early pioneers of a belief system/shift in consciousness, but it’s more fun than being a muggle! 😉

Thanks for reading and watching. And remember, if there’s anything if your life that you need assistance with, I’m here to help with readings, energy healings, on-demand meditations and my psychic development training program. So just reach out! 🙂
