Hi and Happy Halloween!!!

In keeping with the season, I present to you a video with tips on how to protect yourself psychically in scary/haunted/negative places. We all wish these didn’t exist, but indeed they do, and sometimes we find ourselves in these places inadvertently…so my tips will help keep you safe until you can calmly and quietly reach the exit door.

The first time I remember being in a decidedly dark and scary place was when I innocently wandered into a witchy voodoo shop in gay New Orleans. I LOVE New Orleans and of course I love all things witchy, but once I was in the place I started to feel this very dark and not-so-good feeling. There was some bad mojo going on in there and I felt great – relieved and uplifted – the minute I left. Mind you, this was before I delved into the psychic/spiritual world – before I knew anything about energy being a real thing.

Since then, I’ve encountered other similar spaces, and have heard countless stories from friends and clients about things that go bump in the night and places that contain them. I have had to work in places like this, as have many of the people I know. The good thing about energy is that it can be cleared; however, if you live in a negative space or have to work in one, eventually you would be better off moving on than trying to make it work out (unless things change on a very dramatic scale, like people leave, situations change, and someone comes in to clear the space afterwards).

If you don’t have time to watch the video, here are 3 very basic tips in a nutshell:

  • Keep your vibration high and your light strong – powerful light literally burns negative energy away
  • Clear the room using pillars of light in the four corners and one in the center
  • Do rituals like the LBRP
  • Call on the angels, god, and hierarchy of light beings to aid and assist
  • If you feel off, LEAVE!

Having been in situations I’d rather not have been in, I can tell you first hand that things like music, laughter, dancing, singing, and the energy of pure delightful LOVE are ideal when it comes to this. That, and having a no-BS attitude like that of the ladies in the most recent Ghostbuster movie: “The power of Patty compels you!!”

And now let me tell you a little secret about today’s video and message:

I am NOT into spirit communication. In fact, there was a sad spirit/negative energy in my bedroom the other day. I know because I felt very sad for no reason, and my 4 year old son Ivan said he was scared of the room, just out of the blue. How CREEPY is that!!!!! I called in all the angels and did a ritual to clear the energy, and it’s all better now…but if spirit communication involves that sort of thing on a daily basis…

No thank you.

But the veil seems to be thinning! There is a renewed interest in mediumship, tons of shows on TV and books and millions of people contacting departed loved ones on a daily basis worldwide – more and more people are getting the messages they need to hear from spirits, and more spirits are delivering those messages ALL THE TIME.

And if you do the kind of work I do, doing readings and energy healings and tapping into the universal flow of energy on a daily basis, you can’t avoid the occasional spirit. Even if you want to.

Here’s a story about how one came through MEGA POWERFULLY! a few months ago:

My dear friend Louise was visiting from Australia. She was going through a difficult time, and she was also feeling like she needed to clear up some unfinished business regarding the death of her partner, Sheri, 15 years ago. Sheri was one of the great loves of Louise’s life, and it was a tragedy that she died so young.

One day, Louise and I were playing cards (which means Tarot cards LOL) and I started to get some strange cards, along with a headache and a pain in my solar plexus chakra. I tried to ignore it but it wouldn’t go away, and finally I said, “Louise, I think Sheri’s trying to talk to me.” Louise looked surprised and excited and said I reminded her of Whoopi Goldberg in Ghost by trying to ignore it. So I just went for it and told her what was coming through. Were were both amazed and a bit stunned, and the headache abated. I had to go get my son from preschool, so that was the end of that session.

However, a couple of days later Louise and I were shopping at Home Goods, and I got the same headache and solar plexus pain. I knew Sheri was trying to come through and I told Louise. Because it would take a while to get home and the headache was so bad, we decided to just see what Sheri wanted to say right there in my car in the Home Goods parking lot.

Although I felt crazy and eccentric, we went for it. It was like being a foreign language interpreter in a way…Sheri spoke in my mind and I delivered the messages. I really let go of my ego and the fear of being wrong or dumb, and the communication became crystal clear. Louise and I were both crying, and Louise said without a doubt it was Sheri, whom I had never met. Sheri talked about why she died, what Louise needed to do in order to be happy, and gave us some insight as to what it was like on the other side. Sheri also said she was going to reincarnate soon and that her new family “is gonna LOVE me.” Louise laughed and said that was so Sheri.

One thing that was very interesting that Sheri said was this: even though she was going to reincarnate, Louise could still talk to her. She said it would be like when you’re on the phone and you get call waiting: you can still answer the other line.

She gave a symbol for Louise to notice that Sheri would be around (which she saw THE NEXT DAY when she was walking in a park with Sheri’s sister) and the profound wave of healing, love, and hope that we both received was nothing short of miraculous.

If you are interested in communicating with your loved ones, they are simply not that far away. They might be busy, and there are certain times when they can’t come through (Sheri told us this), but when they can, they will.

And if you want to learn mediumship, there are a lot of resources out there right now! One place in particular that I know is very, very good is the Arthur Findlay College in the UK.

I have lost loved ones, and I’m sure you have too. It is so comforting to know that we are not as far away from each other as it may seem, and that there really is no loss. The soul lives on long after the body is gone, and there really is no cause for sorrow.

I am SO not into spirits.

Ghosts, apparitions, etc…not my cup of tea.

However, through my years of learning how to be psychic, and then doing readings and healings professionally, I have tapped into that realm now and then, because when you’re accessing a different field of information, you do tend to notice things. It’s just par for the course. But personally, I don’t like to go there, and so I try with all my might to turn it off and tune it out. No ghosties for me, please. I’ve seen The Sixth Sense, and I have no desire to have that kind of thing happen in my everyday life. Angels, lightbeings, and unicorns, yes! Ghosts, no.

And so it was with great trepidation that I realized my four-year old son picked up on something in our home last night. He is always squeamish about the dark, but last night he told me there was something in the dark hallway and/or his room. We were doing Legos in the living room and I got a weird feeling when he told me that but I tried to ignore it as it was the end of the day and I wanted to just wind down and not get back into work mode (funny that my work is all about energy and stuff!). THEN his toy airplane went off out of the blue like something from The Twilight Zone (“Bienvenidos a Toy Airlines!” with a happy little song that suddenly seemed creepy) and I was legit freaked out. I don’t like that kind of thing happening in my warm and cozy home. Or anywhere.

So we put the Legos down and I turned on all the lights and did a banishing – the  Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram – where you call in the four major Archangels and God and Christ and everyone else wonderful and high vibrational and filled with love and light. And after that, I felt the energy lift. Oddly enough, right after I did this, a medium who was scheduled to come for a reading the next day emailed to reschedule. And I was super relieved, because I’d been wondering if he’d be bringing any “friends” with him. Gotta love the LBRP!

I have to say, because of the work I do in our family home, I’m extra-sensitive to anything our son says about weird energy. Kids KNOW these things. If your child says he or she sees spirits, chances are they do. As for monsters and stuff like that, it’s kind of a strange territory and might have more to do with what they see in movies or on TV or hear from other kids, but if you just really pay attention, you’ll get to know the difference.

If you have a child who is talking about seeing things a LOT, I’d recommend doing a clearing and/or banishing where-ever he/she says it is. And then, to reassure your child, put up a picture or pictures of beautiful angels, divine beings, religious people who would look nice to a child, and anything else you can think of that embodies love, light, and protection. And then talk to your child about it, and encourage a dialogue so there isn’t any shame or fear.

We all essentially want to win in the battle of light over darkness (I mean just look at the worldwide success of Star Wars!), and if you promote the presence of love and light with your child, it will help.

Again, if your child is saying he or she senses something, whether they label it as a spirit/ghost or not, chances are they ARE. Kids are more sensitive to energies than we are, as they just came from the other side over to our world!

Good luck!
